More than half of students had missed at least part of a school day because of their period. When asked why, about one-third said they had been without pads or tampons when they needed them.

To truly meet the needs of women, adolescent girls, and all people who menstruate, we need to address four key areas.
A trial program will provide free period products in schools in New South Wales, like South Australia and Victoria already do. The rest of Australia must follow suit.
Nothing could be more personal, more intimate, than how women manage their periods. Doing so effectively can only be done with quality information.
