- Postdoctoral research fellow, African Studies Program, McGill University
Yolaine de Saugy's work bridges global health diplomacy and international norms studies by examining the trajectory and contestation of the global HIV/AIDS response norm and its impact on key populations (men having sex with men, sex workers, transgender people, people who inject drugs and prisoners).
Beyond global health governance and diplomacy, her main research interests also include Southern African and queer politics, especially the political uses of homophobia in regime strengthening strategies.
