- PhD Student, University of Arkansas
I am a PhD student at the University of Arkansas. I have numerous research interests that range from gender and performance to constructions of nature and environmental advocacy. I am an advocate for mixed qualitative and quantitative studies that bring together the strengths of both types of analysis. My dissertation research focuses on links between knowledge, emotion, and identity within conservation organizations in the Arkansas Ozarks. I have presented at the Society for Ethnobiology, the Arkansas Political Science Association, and will present a paper at the American Anthropological Association 2014 meeting. My most recent publication is in the Journal for Research in Gender Studies.
