Peter Jordan joined Lund University in 2021 as Professor of Archaeology. He is Research Leader of ‘Surviving the Apocalypse’, a five-year project funded by the Swedish Research Council, which is hosted by CALDERA, the Nordic-Japan Research Programme in Disaster Studies, and a Principal Investigator on the new ERC Synergy Project ‘FORAGER’. In 2024 his research team were awarded the 2024 Ben Cullen Prize from Antiquity Journal for ‘outstanding’ contributions to World Archaeology.
