I am a physician with board certifications in family medicine and addiction medicine, and a partner at Pioneer Family Practice. I provide primary care with a philosophy that listening closely allows me to customize care to the needs and preferences of each patient. I have a particular interest in working with patients whose challenges include chronic pain and/or addiction. Since 2012 I have prescribed buprenorphine for both opioid use disorder and chronic pain, and also daily sub-dissociative "microdose" ketamine for chronic and acute pain and mental health conditions. In addition to my clinical work, I have been engaged in advocacy work for individuals with substance use disorder and/or chronic pain and performed clinical research to identify effective treatments for those conditions.
