- Air Quality Policy Researcher at Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Research Associate, UCL
My scientific background as a researcher is in physics, biology and health policy. Currently I work as a research associate at UCL and as a policy researcher at the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), where I lead a project on air pollution exposure. Through literature analysis and consultation with experts across government and academia, I am investigating how novel methods of pollution exposure modelling could improve policy solutions to air pollution and deliver better public health outcomes.
I have previously worked on modelling techniques used in climate and particle physics, and during my PhD I completed a project on the genetic aspects of dementia. I am particularly interested in the interactions between environmental and health policies and the benefits that arise from integrating and aligning both.
