- Early Career Researcher, Aberystwyth University
I am a Research Assistant at Aberystwyth University and Agroceutical Products Ltd. I work on human clinical trials investigating the effects of nutritional and functional food interventions on cognition, wellbeing and healthy ageing. My research combines cognitive testing with electrophysiological measures such as electroencephalography (EEG), alongside metabolomic and physiological assessments to better understand how diet may influence brain and body function.
I hold an MPhil and a BSc in Psychology from Aberystwyth University. I have contributed to multiple Innovate UK, BBSRC and Welsh Government-funded projects and have co-authored research published in journals including Food Science & Nutrition and Frontiers. My current work focuses on identifying sensitive biological markers that may detect early changes in brain health before they become apparent through conventional cognitive testing.
