Chandana Maitra

(She/her)

I am an applied micro-economist - my research spans development economics, health economics, agricultural economics, with a central focus on food security. I am deeply passionate about improving the measurement of food insecurity, understanding its causes and consequences, and examining its nexus with poverty, nutrition, health, and broader indicators of wellbeing. A key aim of my research is to uncover how these relationships shape human capital development and long‑term social and economic outcomes.
