- Postdoctoral Researcher, Soil and Plant Science, University of Sheffield
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sheffield, where I investigate how climate change, specifically elevated CO2, will affect the function, growth and nutrient cycling of ecosystems. I received my PhD in Biology from University of York in 2015, which developed new technologies for measuring greenhouse gases in ecological experiments.
My research interests concern the biological controls of greenhouse gas fluxes from soils and plants, and I have worked in agriculture, grasslands, forests and wetlands. I have a keen interest in sustainable food production and have worked with RCUK's Global Food Security programme to develop approaches to landscape management.
