There is a significant difference between RailOne and IRCTC. RailOne feels much more customer-centric, simple, and intuitive, making it easier for anyone to navigate and use. The overall experience is more streamlined and user-friendly.However, there is always room for improvement. One feature I would strongly recommend is a more visual and interactive journey experience, similar to what is available in apps like ixigo. For example:Interactive seat/berth view: Allow passengers to visually see their exact seat/berth and understand its position within the coach.Coach layout: Show the complete coach arrangement so passengers can easily identify their coach, seat, entry points, and nearby facilities.Train route map: Provide an interactive map showing the complete train route, upcoming stations, current location, and journey progress.Live journey tracking: Let passengers easily see where the train is currently located and how many stations are remaining. These features would make RailOne even more customer-centric and visually intuitive, especially for passengers who are travelling by train for the first time or are unfamiliar with the coach layout.Overall, RailOne is definitely a step in the right direction. With continuous improvements based on actual passenger feedback, it has the potential to become a truly comprehensive railway super-app.
A Complete Failure in Basic Passenger Services
Pawanbarde
The RAILONE app is extremely poorly designed and fails to provide even basic functionality. I faced serious difficulty in locating the option to book Mumbai local tickets, which was easily available in the UTS app. There is no visible or intuitive option, forcing passengers to waste time explaining themselves to ticket collectors due to the absence of a proper ticket interface.Additionally, the Rail Madad complaint feature is equally dysfunctional. The complaint submission process does not work properly, and the character limitation severely restricts customers from clearly explaining their issues. If a customer is dissatisfied, they must be allowed to describe the problem in detail so it is properly understood. Unfortunately, the so-called customer support staff appear to lack even basic knowledge of the railway system and are unable to guide customers on where or how to register complaints related to issues faced during travel. The newly launched RAILONE app is highly disappointing and nowhere close to being customer-friendly. At the very least, it should have retained the same options and usability as the older app instead of making essential services difficult to access. Based on my experience, I am extremely dissatisfied and am giving the RAILONE app a very poor rating.
This app today is to be updated here, but this is not to be support in accessibility voice service.

Overall, the app is well-designed with a good user experience. However, I encountered an issue related to Face ID. App repeatedly triggers Face ID authentication. Although Face ID recognizes me, it seems the backend service is either not authenticating properly or failing during the process. As a result, Face ID keeps getting called in a loop. Please also consider adding an “Add to Apple Wallet” feature for iPhone users. This can be especially helpful for storing Tickets, Platform Tickets, and similar items.Test Case: Face ID Loop Triggered by Location Permission PromptSteps to Reproduce:1.Register/login using Face ID.2.Do not set location permission to “Always” — choose “Allow Once” or leave it unset.3.Kill the app completely.4.Relaunch the app.Expected Result:•The app should request location access and authenticate using Face ID smoothly, without any conflicts or repeated prompts.Actual Result:•Upon app launch, the location permission prompt appears first.•In the background, the app simultaneously triggers Face ID authentication.•If the user taps “Allow Once” during the location prompt, it appears to interfere with the Face ID authentication flow.•This results in the app entering a loop where Face ID keeps getting called repeatedly without successful authentication.Suspected Cause:•A conflict between the location permission callback and the Face ID authentication callback seems to be breaking the flow, leading to repeated Face ID prompts.
We’ve made several improvements behind the scenes to enhance your experience:
• Improved app performance and responsiveness
• Fixed reported bugs and stability issues
• Refined the user interface for better usability
• General enhancements and optimizations
Update now to enjoy the latest improvements.
