Skirmishes are now more flexible: Gold Rate provides passive gold each turn separately from towns and castles, and can now be set to zero. Hot-seat battles also feature a clearer “While You Were Away” recap, with compact, scrollable cards that make it easier to review multiple attacks, counterattacks, and health changes before taking your turn.

Allied turns are now clearly labeled with refreshed banners that make friendly and enemy armies easier to distinguish. Custom battles now catch more setup mistakes before play begins. You may also see an opportunity to share feedback after major campaign victories, along with additional reliability improvements.

Smarter armies and clearer battles: • AI opponents and allies now advance more decisively, pursue objectives, coordinate attacks, choose better routes, and defend threatened castles without overreacting to minor danger. • Hot-seat battles now preserve the correct fog-of-war perspective and recap damage or losses suffered while other players acted. • Selected units now display a dashed red perimeter showing their attack range before and after movement.

Improved enemy NPC behavior during campaign battles. Units that are healthy and blocking a castle will now move out instead of remaining stationed indefinitely, which prevents recruited units such as catapults from trapping the AI’s recruitment flow and makes late-stage enemy turns behave more naturally.
