If you’re a mountain biker, trail runner or just outdoor enthusiast, then you need this app! You won’t look back! I recommend getting the full paid version however, it has so many more useful features than the free and isn’t too much money either. Very well priced!

Trailforks itself is great, giving people the ability to find hidden trails and routes anywhere in the world but I’ve not had an app experience this bad since about 2010.It’s incredible poorly implemented. It won’t let me downloads any area maps (it just spins for about 30mins), when I go to save a GPX files there doesn’t seem to be an actually ‘save’ button. If I go to send to my Garmin instead there’s a button asking me to connect my Garmin account that does nothing and doesn’t seem to give any indication of how I connect my account. There are dead end user journeys and sketchy functionality everywhere. Asking for £35 a year for trail maps is fair enough but not if this is the app your given to use. Really frustrating.

Trailforks itself is great, giving people the ability to find hidden trails and routes anywhere in the world but I’ve not had an app experience this bad since about 2010.It’s incredible poorly implemented. Used to be my go-to when out on the bike, now you can't access anything without a subscription, so no trail names or information of any sort is available without one. They don't even let you zoom in on the map to view the trails as it just makes the screen turn black and brings up the "subscribe to access this feature" message. Massive shame, no point rating anything higher than 1 star as it's essentially just a map with some coloured squiggles on that you can't zoom in on unless you pay £60 a year. A donation system would have been much better, or even an increase in ads while using the app, or a subscription system that doesn't block access to absolutely every useful feature, as this new paywall is completely ridiculous.

Love this app, at almost 50 I needed to do something to increase fitness, it’s such a great tool to view achievements (although small compared to the experienced riders) and I’m finding it’s helping to encourage me to push and try harder.
