Have been renting designer dresses and bags from other lenders by renting out my own wardrobe on the By Rotation for many years now. I barely buy anything new now, my relationship with fashion has totally changed - as has how I style myself. Genius concept; and I understand why it’s got the word rotation on it now! Best app for renting fashion out there, with a much more respectful community and stable team. Would rave about this app in my sleep

I started using by rotation in 2022 and have since shared my wardrobe more than 80 times! I love that it give me a little bit of extra money each month. Also perfect for weddings and occasions where I want to wear something once or try a new brand I haven’t worn before.

As a renter and seller, the app is pretty simple to use and I like the concept. My only issue is the £30 minimum withdrawal limit. I think it’s dumb to have a limit of when I can withdraw my own money that I’ve earned. I only have 1 listing up and it’s a special occasion dress. Since listing it months ago, I’ve only been able to rent it twice with my most recent rental being for 1 day. Now I’ll have to wait for however long for someone else to rent it so I can withdraw MY own money

The app is easy to use and has a lot of choice. However when renting my own items out, there is no option to receive an email notification alongside a push notification. Frustrating as these some times get missed in the flurry of notifications on my phone and then I miss rental requests. Please change this BR! 🙏

My only criticism of By Rotation is that it is not mandatory for lenders to send clothing items dry cleaned to renters. It does suggest in the FAQ section of the site that all clothing should be delivered, having been cleaned, by the lender. My most recent purchase arrived NOT cleaned. Aside from the fact I had to have it cleaned myself at my own expense, it’s a deal breaker for me wearing clothes that have not been cleaned since the previous wear.

I had a good experience renting out my dress in terms of demand, but unfortunately the payment process has been extremely frustrating. It is completely unclear how to withdraw earnings to a bank account, with very little guidance provided in the app.On top of that, customer service has been unresponsive, which makes the situation even more disappointing. When money is involved, clarity and support are essential, and currently this platform falls short on both.I hope this improves, as the concept of the app is great, but the user experience—especially around payments—needs serious attention.

Maybe you are someone who has an amazing collection of dresses and handbags but you want to make some income on the side - this is for you. I speak as someone who uses the app as both a renter and a lender. I borrow luxury dresses for special occasions, for example a sequin £1000 designer dress for a concert that I managed to rent for £50 and I got so many compliments. I also rent out my own special pieces, so I feel less guilty for buying them as they get so much love but also, I make money back on the pieces I buy. Girl maths tells me those items are free, I’m making profit from my wardrobe. I’ve always had amazing, speedy customer service from the team too and wow the new rent by location feature means I’ve found items within walking distance from my house for a last minute event or trip. It also means people have found me and my items when they need them urgently. Not only are the items such a high calibre on here and they allow you to look sensational at the fraction of the cost (plus helping the planet too) this app is a great way to meet likeminded people, I’ve made friends for life on this app. I love the community! 5* again and again

It’s also helped me discover new brands without overspending—I’ve tried pieces from designers like Zimmermann and Shrimps, which I would’ve never been able to afford outright. The app is so intuitive, and the community is lovely—it makes the whole experience feel personal and fun. Honestly, I can’t imagine going back to the old way of shopping!
