St George's, University of London

As the UK’s only independent medical and healthcare higher education institution St George’s offered medicine, biomedical sciences and health and social care sciences. Scientists, students, doctors, nurses, psychologists, midwives, physiotherapists, radiographers, administrators and our hardworking support staff are all important members of the St George’s family. It was a part of the University of London federation.

St George’s has a reputation within the NHS for producing excellent healthcare professionals, sharing a site with St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust, one of south London’s busiest hospitals.

In August 2024, St George’s merged with City, University of London to become City St George’s, University of London. The combined university is now one of the largest suppliers of the health workforce in the capital, as well as one of the largest higher education destinations for London students. City St George’s campuses are spread across London in Clerkenwell, Moorgate and Tooting.
