Uber helps you get from point A to point B—and so much more. Here are five features to make your next ride—and your day-to-day—a little smoother.
1. Trips for the whole family
Keep your loved ones covered when they’re on the go by adding them to your Family profile. This lets you pay for their trips and get real-time updates when they’re picked up or dropped off, or if their car has stopped.
Where to find it: Go to Account > Settings then scroll down to Family. (Members need to be 18 or older and have their own Uber account.)
2. Record your ride
If at any point during your ride you feel uncomfortable, turn on audio recording to encourage respectful interactions and easily report safety issues.
Where to find it: Tap the blue shield to open the Safety Toolkit, then tap the Record Audio button.
3. Plan ahead
Take the stress out of travel by reserving a ride ahead of time. Request your Uber Reserve trip as early as 90 days ahead—or as little as 30 minutes in advance.
Where to find it: As you’re booking a ride, tap the clock icon that appears next to the Choose button to pick a time and date.
4. Get your orders delivered
Use Uber’s Store Pickup to get items you’ve ordered online dropped at your doorstep with Uber’s Store Pickup feature. If you’re struck with buyer’s remorse, stay home and let Uber drop off your returns at any FedEx, UPS, or USPS location.
Where to find it: Go to the Services tab and choose from Store Pickup or Package.
5. Go green
Lower the environmental impact of your ride by booking Uber Green. This low-emission option connects you with hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
Where to find it: After you confirm your pickup and destination addresses, select Uber Green at the bottom of the screen.
