I had this game recommended to me. There is a lot I like about this game. The music, and sounds are ethereal and really out you into the world. The voices (English subbed) were great. They really set a mood. I enjoy this style/format of a game. The storyline is interesting, and pulls you in. I read some other reviews of difficulty navigating. I had no such issues. Maybe they fixed them? I found navigating to be very intuitive and natural. Puzzles were on the easy side, but very enjoyable. They were very formulaic. There were a few puzzle formulas. (Ie matching patterns, remembering pictures, lining up things, etc) but there wasn’t a LARGE variety. I checked out the hints section and really like it. If you are stuck on any one thing, hints are locked until you solve it, so you aren’t spoiled on everything. Overall, it took me a little over an hour to play. I don’t quite think that amount of gameplay is worth $5. I would totally pay $2, but for $5 I expect a little more challenge and more in game time. For $5 I also expect a little more variety in puzzles with some varying complexity, ie multi-step puzzles, and different styles of puzzle. If they came out with another game, I would be interested, but I would probably wait to read a few reviews to make sure they have more content before buying.

Got this app after seeing it listed in an article as free for a bit. Overall, wouldn’t pay the $5 for it. However, someone else mentioned pricing at $2, which I would totally pay for this.Really enjoyed the game. Someone left a comment about needing a guide open, this game is WAY too simple for a guide! The hints are more intuitive than what people claim. And the nice thing is that you really can get by without them. Definitely waiting for the dev to create an expansion.I agreed the game play involved quite a bit of back tracking due to the small environment. There’s no need for a map of the island, the layout is too easily memorised. I would like to see a larger environment for the next instalment. And definitely more lore/back story — maybe even an explanation as to the storyline of this segment.

I liked this game a lot, particularly some aspects of it and would probably give it 4.5 stars if possible. The story is fresh and interesting, the art is generally wonderful, the music and spoken Norse (especially the Norse) and the interesting use of spirit vision mode all really add to the atmosphere and "credibility." I didn't really need the hints but, having read about it in a couple of reviews, I decided to check it out and I agree it is a good system. If you're stuck on something, or don't want to take the time to search all over for something you might have missed, you can get a quick hint to set you on the right path without actually, usually telling you exactly what to do and without giving away too much.Because I liked the game so much I thought I should lay out the couple of things that made me drop my rating from 5 to 4 stars were 1) the game is too short. The good aspects of the game almost outweigh the lack of length but not quite. 2) There weren't enough puzzles and they were generally simple (though kudos to the devs for requiring spirit vision to work out some of the puzzles and I really liked the rune stone system). The couple of puzzles that weren't very straightforward were almost too obtuse IMO. The example I can think of it is the final one (spoiler alert) with Naudigastir's tunic. I don't know if I would have figured out this one if I hadn't already seen the patterns on the wall in the witch's house. Figuring how to put the pattern on the loom was trial and error and not immediately obvious. Maybe I'm splitting hairs here but that's how it sruck me. 3) The price of the game is another small issue. The stmospherics and art almost outweigh the high cost for a game that's so short but, again, not quite. So, all things combined, I dropped from 5 to 4 stars. As stated above, would give 4.5 if could.I can heartily recommend this game, though, especially if you can get it at a discount, and would love if the devs came out with another (especially if it was longer; or added chapters to this one)! This was one of the most enjoyable point-and-click adventures I've played because of the story and atmospherics, etc; not just a redux of all the others you see.

This is a very enjoyable point and click adventure game. The graphics are very nice. And, the environment sounds are really well done. The voiceovers are fitting. It is hard to find games in this genre. This is a must-play, if you like these types of games. The level of difficulty is perfect. As another reviewer stated: This game is a great stress reducer. It is more rewarding if you don't use the hints. Think about all the clues and how they are tied to the various puzzles. I was able to get through a three sticking points by re-visiting all locations, sometimes multiple times. Really think about everything you see. I hope to see more point and clicks from this developer.
