Sudoku is such a deceptively simple puzzle: the challenge can be expressed in one sentence. Given a puzzle in 9x9 box with few known numbers, try and fill in the remaining squares with numbers 1 to 9 such that each row, column and 3x3 box contain all the numbers 1 to 9 without duplication.

Simple format no ads. The game lets me know when I've made an error so I don't go 10 steps down the road before I find out and have to trace my steps to sort things out. Also allows me to set the game for indefinate errors. I'm in the learning stage so it's more important for me to practice than win. I tried a number of other Sudoku aps and they were flawed. THIS is the best app.
Undo option needed

Mostly good. A couple of issues - if the game is closed it defaults to the small playing field, without the number display. I wish that could be set in the options. If a wrong pencil mark is entered, it is easy to erase it by entering it again. If a wrong number is entered, the only option is the erase the square, losing any pencil marks. An undo button or key option would be appreciated.If either of these options already exist, please document them!
Was a great game

I played this game on my Mac a lot, and I mean a lot! But since either a Mac OS upgrade or an app upgrade I cannot not drag the app window border to increase the size so I can see the number off to the right side that really helped me play. I can still play it but it's just not as much fun any more. Now I need either fix to this problem or just quit playing this app game.

if i were playing in the sudoku grand national championships the numbe of mistakes i made would be sooooo important. i hate the fact that you talley them. I can barely see. Most of my mistake are from not switchin the pencil on and off appropriately. Please let me switch off your reminders of my mistakes - it is irrelevent to me, makes me feel like your interface is like big brother.
