Sitch sets you up.
If you’re tired of endless swiping and never meeting up, Sitch will set you up. Sitch uses humans + AI to matchmake members based on their values, preferences and long-term goals - no swiping involved. Simply tell us what you're into – your interests, passions, hot takes, and deal-breakers – and we'll handle the rest by sending you curated matches. If you both say yes, we will introduce you - so that you both don’t have to play the game of waiting to see who messages first.

How does Sitch work?
Applying to Sitch is simple. Potential members put in an application, which is then reviewed by our AI bots and a team of matchmakers. After you receive a notification that your application has been accepted, you will need to confirm your membership by purchasing a pack of "Setups", after which you will have full access to all matchmaking for as long as you have unused Setups. During the onboarding process, you provide us with information that will be used to find you your most compatible matches. Members can tell us whatever they would like to, however much that is! We just want to know what makes you you, and who you are *really* interested in. What you tell Sitch is not public, so you can be very honest.
When we find you a compatible pairing, Sitch sends you pictures, their background and why they would be a good fit. If you both are down to meet, then we introduce you on a group chat, ensuring that you are not waiting around hoping the other person messages first… and there is no ghosting!

I think the app has potential but it’s not fully there yet. You’ll fill out application and it’ll say you’ll get an acceptance in about 3 weeks. After about 9 weeks I had to email them for an update and then suddenly I had been accepted. There is no trial period for the app. It’s $95 for 3 setups. That is the lowest possible option. It’s a VERY steep price and after using it, it’s not justified at all. The AI has to be reminded again and again of your set preferences and I kept getting shown people that did not fit in my preferences. The intro (for myself and the other person) is so small and doesn’t give you enough of an idea about the person to want to spend your 1 setup on them. Furthermore, they hid and blur potential matches and title them as ‘coming next week’. Why are these options being hidden when I’ve already paid an insane amount for the application? I think eventually they could have potential but it’s just not there yet and just left me more frustrated than hopeful.
Had high hopes but severely disappointed

I don’t write app reviews but felt like I needed to write this one. I was contacted by the Sitch team weeks before they launched in SF as they wanted me to be one of the first people on this new “AI matchmaking” app. I had very high hopes as I went to the launch event and even the feedback session with the founders where I really resonated with them and their mission. So much to my surprise almost 3 months later I’ve not had A SINGLE setup even after paying $100+ for 5 setups. That’s insane to me. When I was using Hinge I would consistently get matches and go on dates, but quickly grew frustrated of just swiping on dating apps (as everyone knows) so I really thought this would work out but it’s just not it. Not only do I get people that pop up over and over again that I’ve said no to, but I think there’s just not people on the app who are using it. You need users for this to work, and the founders keep going city to city advertising like they’ve had so much success and it’s going to work in a new city when it hasn’t. For me it’s frustrating that they made me think (through their launch party and feedback session) that if you pay you will get quality setups only to get none. I hope they see this and make changes because not only is the app riddled with bugs, users aren’t using the app after signing up.
Just as bad as other dating apps, but in different ways

I hate that I can’t see a large number of people who are on the app. All dating apps feel like they’re trying to hide facts from you and this is no exception. In Hinge’s case, you wonder, what are your algorithms actually doing? Here, you wonder, who is on here? Are there more than 2 people on here at once? You can’t tell. The financial system seems to encourage people to click no on people who aren’t perfect because you’ll lose opportunities if you say yes to someone with whom you have a dead-ended conversion. Because of this, I haven’t matched with anyone. I also get a ton of anxiety when I get a match. But here, it’s not like that rush of anxiety came because someone clicked on my profile. It’s because this algorithm is giving me that rush of anxiety by pairing me with someone. Lastly, I get very little information about people and the info I do get is confusing. I do not want kids. The app keeps matching me with “family oriented” men. What does that mean??? Does it mean they want kids? Does it mean they get along with their parents? The app won’t tell me. I’d be curious if anyone has had any luck on here.
Worthless AI

As a young woman living in NYC in four months I’ve had two matches on this app (versus dozens over the same period on other apps) and they were some of the rudest people I’ve ever matched with on a dating app, so Sitch is not delivering on quality or quantity. This app also has one of the worst AIs I’ve ever seen. It can’t remember my most basic search criteria: that I don’t want kids, that I’m not interested in casual, that I don’t want matches from NJ, etc. I have to remind it constantly bc it keeps showing me people who don’t fit my preferences. I also don’t think men in NYC are even using this app bc when I do like people I never get matched back. Both set-ups I’ve had were with guys who clearly didn’t pay for the app (whereas I did - Sitch confirmed they offer some promos to incentivize user engagement) and neither was looking for a relationship. In fact, both immediately made disparaging comments about trying to date/using dating apps. These are not someone a real “matchmaker” would be setting me up with. App is a total waste of money with no real matchmaker component and an extremely cheap AI model. Could not recommend it less to my fellow New Yorkers.
Improvements and upgrades.
