I have to quickly scan and organize dozens of receipts on a weekly basis for my business, and after trying a ton of other receipt scanning apps, including Expensify, I finally landed on this gem. The interface is simple, intuitive, and super efficient. The scanner will automatically pull transaction information from any receipt, which a) works instantaneously, unlike other apps, b) is insanely accurate, even on faded or distressed receipts, c) separates out tax from the total, and d) it shows a little snippet image extracted from the original receipt image next to the transaction amount, so you can easily confirm that the amount was correct without needing to look back at the original image. These features are subtle, but they add up to big big time savings. Finally, the app allows me to organize receipts into folders and export them in multiple formats, including excel. This is so much better than Expensify’s idiotic system of reports that can’t be changed after exporting, and which only export to pdf. This app is well worth the price! And trust me, I’ve tried ALL the big receipt tracking apps, this one’s the BEST.

It’s a fantastic little app that is easy, intuitive and it helps simplify tracking and reporting of expenses. I use it for personal and business needs. It allows you to take a pic of your receipt, and from that it will prefill the line items for you. It doesn’t always get it right, (it mostly gets it right) but it is easy to change the fields before you save it, and it is fast enough to not be cumbersome. It allows you to add categories and folders or even individual notes to help with delineating the expenses you might want to track, and the best part is it’s easy to export the info to a spreadsheet too. The app does what it is designed to do and it does it well!

Really great and simple app to use. I hate paper receipts abd trying to hero the in good enough shape to be readable down the road! 😐 I swear the fade like they do on purpose, how can the return policy on the back stay legible for years but your proof of purchase is gone in weeks!!!!???? Anyways… i use the free version and all I need to do it take a picture it records the date, time, amount, tax and store name automatically! So nice and all I have to do it make sure it’s going in the correct category. It keeps them sorted month/year and tells you the total spent in each category every month. This way exactly what I wanted and more, and it’s free! You can upgrade for features of course but I don’t need anything more at the moment. So I would and do highly recommend this app if your just need something simple, quick and reliable!

This app does ALMOST everything. The export feature is spot on. And I like the simplicity of it. Good design. Not overwhelming to learn or visual sensory overload. Those are all good things. Some improvements need to be made to the categorisation system. It isn’t accurate. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but it took a Whole Foods receipt and categorised it as office supplies. Something that says food and has food items all over the receipt is not an ambiguous categorisation. In addition, it needs to divide the categories into a chart or graph so you can identify what your expenses are going toward. Where’s an app that can take a pic of a receipt, categorise it appropriately, and then show a charted or graphed summary of the data? Combine that with the export and business features this app already has.. Now that would be a powerful budgeting and recording app suited for everyone’s needs.
