I’ve been playing all kinds of games my whole life and this is one of the few games where I felt like I was finally included. I am mixed with textured hair and in most games my hair is an afterthought, something I have to buy or gain through playing the game, never a default option in the character creation screen. This is one of the few games where I could make a character that looked like me just from the options they had! As I looked deeper I realized that there were so many diverse options such as shirts and accessories for different disabilities and queer representation as well! Some people may say “what’s the big deal” or “why make everything about race” but growing up never really being able to see myself or having to settle for close enough while my peers made 1 to 1 recreations of themselves was frustrating. The little gamer in me was overjoyed to finally get to make myself a cute little character that actually looked like me :)

I have been playing pocket love for a long time before it came to Apple Arcade. It’s so disappointing the way the game is set up vs the free one with ads/In-App. I am struggling to get more of the gem hearts. At least the ads served a purpose in getting more doglars in the free one. It’s making me hit a wall within minutes of playing. It’s boring once quests are completed and once you have played all the 5 game slots. You have screenshots of the free one for Apple Arcade why? We don’t get the box that gave free PocketLove players additional coins, doglars and one random home item that changes every hour until the end of day. The surveys and the ads in the market to get more doglars really helped in progressing my ability to upgrade and it’s gone now. I also didn’t mind spending a couple of bucks of in app to get sets before they went away until next year. I open do the dailies and games and then i close the app all in about 10ish min. It’s not worth being on Apple Arcade with this little worth of engaging. I wonder how long it will take for me to be able to get an full 2nd story or even as close to the one I have in the free PocketLove. I think I’ll just stick with the ads and in-app one.

DEVELOPERS AND PLAYERS PLEASE READPocket Love!+ is a great game and is soo cute! Decorating is so fur and there is so much detail to everything! I don’t love the fact that that we can’t move or walk around in the game and that we can’t join other players servers. The game does have a lot of glitches and it becomes difficult to just play the game. One thing I don’t like is that the partner calls me “bae” or “babe” I wish that I could change that. Another thing is that I would love to be able to move the pets. I love this game but after a while it gets kind of boring and repetitive. I wish that there were more ways to earn currency and that there was a working or a job aspect to the game. As mentioned before the game dies get boring because, though it does have some great qualities, it’s lacking in goals, motivation, and the working towards aspect. Don’t get me wrong I love this game and you should too but I dont recommend it if you are not a fan of repetitive and goalless games. However if you love cute, detailed, and Kawaii games you should definitely get this one!

Although it can be a bit glitchy at times, I LOVE this game. I love to be able to check throughout the day to see if there’s new items in the store, and change my outfits every time I buy new stuff just to go back to my favorite frog mushroom combination. It gives you so much money that you don’t feel like you’re missing out, and the season packs are so CUTE, I have to try to buy every single one of them. However, and this is mainly for the devs. I have noticed that sometimes when I buy a pack, similar packs or packs that have all the same items will still populate in my store. It has me second guessing myself and also makes it a bit confusing at times. It’s not a deal breaker, I always just go to see what I have before buying but it is a bit annoying. But other than that, I love literally everything and cannot wait for more 🩷
