When you tap Edit Photo on the HEIC tab, only the HEIC preview and export reflect your changes. Switching to the TIFF tab leaves it untouched. The same applies in reverse. Previously, edits were discarded when the result screen regenerated its outputs. Tone Mapping and Pipeline Fixes Several edge cases in the tone mapping pipeline were resolved, including fixes to the radiometric merge path and improved output consistency across algorithms on scenes with very low or very high average luminance.

Radiometric takes 50 to 70 percent longer but reconstructs true scene radiance, producing superior pixel-level detail on well-bracketed, stable shots. Both modes are available from the merge settings. Tone Mapping on the Result Screen You no longer need to re-merge to try a different tone mapping style. After merging, a scrollable gallery on the result screen lets you switch between ACES Filmic, Reinhard, Hable, Photographic, Drago, and more. Thumbnails update in real time and both the HEIC and TIFF outputs regenerate from the original linear data when you make a selection. Side by Side Output Preview Tap any result thumbnail to open fullscreen. The HEIC and TIFF are shown as two swipeable pages with independent zoom. Format labels in the corner so you always know which file you are looking at. Reduced Color Fringing Purple and blue fringing on high-contrast edges is now actively suppressed during post-processing. A GPU-accelerated filter targets lateral chromatic aberration and radiometric boundary artifacts without affecting the rest of the image. Better Radiometric HDR The radiometric pipeline produces more accurate radiance maps. Highlight reconstruction is smoother, dark scenes with bright point lights are handled correctly, and shadow noise amplification on extreme brackets is fixed. Tone Mapping Fixes and Improvements All tone mapping algorithms now operate on the full linear float32 buffer instead of a clipped 8-bit intermediate. Reinhard no longer amplifies shadow noise on dark HDR scenes where the scene average luminance is very low. Several algorithms received parameter tuning for more consistent output. HDR Path Improvements The fast merge path now uses the same per-algorithm linear tone mapping as the full pipeline. Switching tone mapping algorithms on a fast merge result produces accurate output instead of a clipped approximation.
