So I bought this years ago but never used it and was checking out another app and figured I’d use this and compare it. What I would like to see here is device syncing. Calendar and Apple health integration for reading and exercise habits and with the calendar it can set you reminders and adjust if schedules change. A disappointment is that there’s no pre set habit for showers. Ok but not even an icon? There’s a duster icon but not one for a shower? There’s even a tooth icon for brushing teeth but no shower when many many depressed Americans don’t shower. I’m tracking cold showers btw not regular ones but anyways. I can’t remember what I paid but I couldn’t justify the current subscription cost for how basic it is and the features it lacks that other apps have. I know these guys have been around awhile so I’m hoping they continue to improve it and get ahead on the AI train. Oh one final thing. Because it doesn’t play well with Apple my size settings don’t transfer to the app and there is no way to make things larger. I can see and read most stuff with a little difficulty but some text is too small to read and. I ability to enlarge text to make it more readable but that’s not going to be a common issue for most but blind people use apps too lolEdit: dark mode all the time is getting old quick. There is no bright light mode when I wake up and the dark mode widget looks really dumb during the day next to everything else not in dark mode.

  • Exactly what I have been looking for!

Edit: I hope the app creator sees this! I have loved this app for a long time. There is one thing that I desperately wish it could do, however. I really wish that I could see what's on the agenda for the next day. I use this app not only for habits, but as a daily planner. Not being able to see what exactly is on the agenda for the next day is a bummer.Original review: I have spent the past year downloading (and often buying) habit/daily chore apps before then uninstalling them in disappointment. I really liked the idea of a gamified habit app, but after trying several, they just didn't have the deeper features I wanted which caused me to quit using them after some time. This app, is so much nicer. Its beautiful, so customizable, and a real joy to use. And it has features, such as streaks and graphs to help you visualize your success so that you will want to keep it up. Really cool. The only thing I wish it had was a separate section where I could make one-time lists, such as a grocery list. Aside from working on habits, I usually have several separate lists going on, depending on if I need groceries, what bills are coming due, etc. I like to keep that separate from my habits. For now I either use notes or another list app, but it would be really cool to see that feature added in this app. Aside from that, I am very impressed. I bought the full version because it is so worth it. Keep up the good work!

after testing extensively over several hours other habit tracking apps I found this one to be the most fully featured in terms of statistics and things like an in app timer. The widgets are clean and good enough, there is a more section, and the ability to pause habits. However there are some major shortcomings of this app that has been available for so long that I think would make it much better. 1. overflow timer - would be very appreciated. It’s very difficult to edit entries to show the time that was spent versus the time that was scheduled in the habit. also, it doesn’t show the edited time in the statistics after the fact. I would love to be able to set the timer to start for example minutes read and if my time exceeds what was scheduled it would automatically update and show in statistics.2. bad habits -there is no proprietary bad habit set up in the app as of now. It’s easy enough to mark don’t smoke as completed if you don’t smoke for that day. But what if it is some thing like cut back smoking and you want to mark every time you have a cigarette so that that data is available in statistics and so that if you are trying to cut down from 10 cigarettes a day you can see when you only had nine and passed your habit but also when you only had three and did even better-even so when you failed the habit and had 11 but when you also failed the habit and had 20.thanks guys!

This app has helped me, far more than any other on the App Store, to take control of my life. It has been especially useful in creating a healthy lifestyle, and to conquer depressive habits I had never been able to. The accountability the app brings is one that is lacking in pressure. If you end up not being able to complete a habit, you don’t get negative feedback. Most habit forming apps on the App Store have negative feedback when you are unable to meet your goals, which can become quickly frustrating and cause more self-criticism. Other apps on the market will send an obnoxious amount of reminders, that eventually become easy to ignore. Rather the app uses as many, or as little, reminders as you want. You can choose which days of the week and what time of day the habits need completed by. With the Premium feature, you are able to create as many habits as you want and gain access to more fun settings. For me, the amount I paid for the yearly subscription was worth it for the changes I have seen in my life. The only problems I have found is in the weekly section. You don’t get the option of choosing the day of the week for habits in the weekly tab. I have a plant I water every two weeks, always on Saturday’s, but there is currently no way to specify this option. Because I can find no other problems, and because of the personal help this app has provided, I am giving it 5 stars.

Thank you so much for your honest review! We're happy to know that you find our app so useful! Regarding the weekly section issue - when creating a habit, you can choose Daily section and select necessary day of the week. Unfortunately, this can work only if you want a habit to be repeated on the same day every week. Hope it helps and thank you for using our app.

  • Great motivation and excellent customer service!

I downloaded productive because I was struggling to stay committed to doing my physical therapy for a torn hip labrum every day as my PT instructed. I downloaded the app a few days into my month long challenge of doing my therapy everyday, and I found it really helped me to stay motivated when I could check off and visualize my completed exercise routine on the well-designed and aesthetically pleasing app. I contacted their support team to see if there was a way to retroactively add in the days I had completed my exercise routine before I had downloaded the app, and they were very friendly and helpful in helping me get it all sorted out. I would definitely recommend this app as a way to stay motivated if you have goals you struggle to keep up with! My only recommendation would be to create more advanced goal setting features. For example, I would like to tell the app that my overall goal is to complete a month of doing PT every day, so it could provide me with information about how many more days I have to go and what percent of the goal I have achieved. It would also me nice to be able to put in and see information about why this is your goal (for me, it is life without chronic hip pin and avoiding hip surgery) and any rewards you plan to give yourself if you obtain the goal (I'm taking myself out to a nice dinner after my month-long challenge is complete). Obviously these are things I know already, but it would be fun to integrate them into the app and see reminders of why my goals are important to me.

  • Great app!

    CheekySweetie

I'm 16 and I got this app to keep track of chores and other daily habits I often forget. It's exactly what I needed. I'm not trying to schedule my day down to the minute or even the hour. And I needed an app flexible enough that as long as I complete my habit that day, it doesn't break my streak, but still keeping certain habits to certain times of day.I like that you can schedule an individual habit for multiple times a day instead of having to create the same habit 3 times, each time scheduling a different time. I also enjoy how customizable it is, how you can choose the icon, color and order of the habits. My favorite thing about the app is the general scheduling. There are 3 times to schedule a habit to; morning, afternoon and evening. And you can choose between which times each of these apply. Even if I miss a habit during its schedules time, it isn't counted as missed until the day is over, which keeps my motivation for the streaks up. It's the perfect level of simplicity for me.My only complaint is that I have to pay a subscription for more habits! I don't really care about whatever else comes with premium. I love this app and it's exactly what I need but I can't pay a subscription. If it was a one-time fee for premium forever then I could do that. Even if it was $20 as long as it was just once. Otherwise, this app is just about perfect for me.

  • LIFE CHANGING!! ❤️👍🏼

    madsxu

I, myself, am very picky about apps. I feel as if it has to be "perfect" in my eyes and most of the time I find it hard for apps to exceed that expectation. I've tried to download apps that would help me with my busy schedule, trying to get in the normal life necessities, that at the time I would skip over. I could never find one like it till I was looking over the new "favorite apps." This is where I found this app. I downloaded it just to see if it would meet my standards, and it did! The app is very colorful and gives you a lot of free room. You can set times and days that you want to do something. You get an icon and can choose a color for each habit. I suggest keeping a color for certain things like eating and drinking stuff, I will always put as the color red. Notebooks, writing, and planning stuff I will always put in the color orange. If you're in school, this is a great tool to get on track with studying and homework for your classes. I upgraded within like 2 minutes of getting the app, just because of how good it works. Getting the upgrade allows you to have more than 5 habits, allows you to have a reminder sent to your phone, and multiple other things that are worth the upgrade! If you've always struggled with being organized, like myself, let me tell you this app absolutely changes your life. ❤️ Best app ever!!

  • Wow Outstanding Kudos

I would call myself OCD with ADD. So I want to be productive and organized, but I forget and get distracted; hell, I even need a reminder to take my ADD medication. Needless to say, I have been a junkie of sorts for apps like this and have spent my share of money on reminders/to do/pomodoro apps. This one is the real deal. It is extraordinary in its well thought out simplicity. Other apps may do similar things, but they are too busy; the visual aspect of an app is very important and this one nails it. I found it when I was searching apps that have a Watch supplement app because a reminder that goes off when I am no where near my phone is useless. I am not someone motivated by stars and ‘atta girls (or boys)’. In fact they make me want to rebel and say ‘FU, I don’t need your praise.’ In this app, they are very subtle and for some reason don’t elicit that emotional response from me. All in all, I am very impressed and this app gets five stars for UI, aesthetics, execution. The only thing I would do is continue to add icons. I would like an RX symbol for medication and a pile of dishes. Even the method of entry is perfectly done: download the app, test it out, and then if you like it, buy it through upgrading (I really dislike the ‘lite’ versioning method). The free app is not crippled, what is missing is very clear (and very little). It would be quite useful in its free state for someone without a watch and just a few ‘habits’ to invite into one’s repertoire. I suspect this app has a very high conversion rate.

  • It’s fine. But annoying.

    MystikQT

The entire app is set up to be some silly competition with yourself. I just need something to keep track of the things I want to try and hit in a day — I’m not trying to guilt trip myself because my “streak is broken.” There doesn’t seem to be a way to turn this off, which is absurd. So it’s a great interface and user-friendly that way, but if you’re not interested in feeling bad about yourself every day when it brow-beats you for not completing your “habits,” I’d look elsewhere.ETA: I was feeling pretty cranky when I tapped this review out, but as my year subscription comes to an end, I still won’t be renewing. I appreciate the response that some things can be turned off, but respectfully — most of them can’t be. And the edits that are offered often don’t work. Trying to update days that you’d like existing habits to appear on your list is hit or miss (usually miss — it doesn’t stick. I end up having to delete habits entirely and enter them anew to make any changes at all). The orientation of the app is toward creating new daily habits and competing with yourself. If that’s your thing, do it up. But if the developers want this to be for a wider audience, then group all of those notifications into a “challenge” interface, and give the rest of us an option to turn it off. I’d love this to be a task-tracker without the game aspect, but it isn’t.
