I have been struggling with Friedrichs iPhone apps for 7 years, going progressively worse after each update. Finally I am happy to say, the app works as expected and that is all that we have been asking for. One day this week, I noticed that all three of my Wallmaster units were disconnected from the app. After power cycling all three units, they all immediately connected back to the app. Well let me tell you, the difference has been like night and day. All three units now respond within seconds of any changes on the app with NO lockups. Thank you Friedrich for finally giving us a perfectly working app that we can actually use.

I am continually frustrated by this app that’s so slow & not responsive. I really wish that there was an alternative to this app. I was so excited to get the new Wallmaster that would enable me to control it with my phone.… And this was just not what I expected. And lately, all it keeps doing is asking me to review it over & over again every time I use it. If I could give it zero stars I would. I’m giving it one star each time and it keeps coming back asking me to review it over and over and over again. Do better, Friedrich. This is just excruciatingly frustrating.

Oh my God. I finally can access my air conditioner remotely. I got my air conditioner a year ago, but have been using the Frederick connect app per the instructions that came with it. Needless to say, the remote feature did not work with the old app. I was not aware of this app until the old app gave a notice that it is no longer being supported and then I should move onto the Friedrichlink app. I wish I had found this app sooner than I did. This app was easy to set up and works brilliantly.

How can you make such a terrible app? It just controls temperature on your AC. It takes nearly a whole minute just to open and load the ACs connected to WiFi. I’m shocked it can even do that. 90% of the time when I try to change the AC temp it just never does. Why did you even make this app? How can you even make it this bad? It’s the most simple piece of software ever. And you failed. It’s honestly impressive how spectacularly terrible it is. It’s like you tried to make it bad on purpose.

Got an alert to download from the previous app. Then had to change my password, got multiple confirmation codes and changed the password multiple times, only not to be allowed in the new app. Now I have to dismiss the old app warning it going away, every time I want to use it. Get your stuff together, your apps are always so klunky and don’t work well. I have had the air conditioner 5 years and the WiFi and all connection is never reliable!

This is the new app to use to control AC via WiFi set up. This app takes time to load each time. I have had to set up each unit 3 times as the will be come disconnected for no apparent reason. I have spent 15mins again this morning and still not reconnected. For the cost of these units there should be an app that actually works. I would have never purchased this brand of AC if I had know how bad the app is and the customer service when calling.

Why can’t the developers get this right? Why is it so hard to build an app that simply works? It still can’t control anything. Just trying to turn off a unit takes a couple of minutes to register. Until then it just hangs there. The temperature slider is unusable. Just trying to adjust the temp from 72 to 76 is such a frustrating experience. I’m so frustrated with friedrich at this point. Do not buy their units.

I just upgraded from the old app. I reset my password, enabled biometrics, but when I login on this new app, it shows the loading screen and then after about 3 seconds reverts to the login page and my email/password form fields have been emptied again. Can’t login. Fully broken. Clicked app support button on the App Store and it brought me to a FAQ page. No way to get help.

This app barely works. Limited functionality and quite a few bugs. Not sure if there’s no option to schedule turning off a unit rather than just adjusting the target temperature. Apps like smart home that companies like Midea use are 20X more functional. If you care about being able to control your AC with your phone, I wouldn’t recommend buying Friedrich.

The app doesn’t remember your WiFi password . When then wifi connection is lost, you have to manually reenter everything included the schedule . Not sure why they chose not to keep informations saved either in app or in cloud or both . Seems like we are back in 2005 .
