I really like the app, but I haven’t found a way to edit the study plan, like even if you want to change the time to get your reminder. You always have to recreate a new study plan, plus you have to go in and take out whatever you’ve either already done or already read. Otherwise, I like it.

I teach early morning Seminary (Freshman through seniors). Over the summer we got an Ipad, so I got this app this year to try out. I play the music from LDS scripture rock (Jason Beaird) on a loop for the scripture we are trying to momorize. Then I bring up the "Memorize" section of this app. (I have the ipad hooked up to the church projector so everyone can see it). Then we just start moving up the levels, removing more and more words. So far I have used it for 3 verses in the Old Testament and 80% of the class has been able to memorize the scripture within 15 minutes. I plan on using the quiz section of the app with the class 4 in groups and one dry erase tablet per group. I just wish they would release an IPAD specific app that lets you do landscape mode. Also letting the user adjust the text size would help greatly...I mean what is the point of having all that whitespace on the memorize part of the app?I have also had a few students download the app on their ipod touches - one memorized 4 in one weekend!!! This is a great app!! Thanks for producing it!!!!

I used this app a couple of years ago to memorize The Living Christ. It was a fantastic app, very easy to use, and it helped me achieve my goal. I don’t know what happened…there must have been an update but the app was not improved. In fact, it is much worse, has many bugs, and is more difficult to use. I can’t add scriptures from gospel library unless it is a link from something else like a footnote that opens in the sidebar; and even then, it just copies and pastes it. It doesn’t do the memorization feature where you can take away the words like with the passages already on there. This app is pretty good if you only care about the scripture masteries but as a graduated seminary student, I am looking for other content and the “my content” section needs some work. Also, side note, the scripture mastery lists on there are outdated, and they have since updated a lot of the scriptures, so it may be helpful to change that as well. Overall, this used to be a great app, and I think it can be once again, but your developers need to get to work. I will happily use it when that happens!

I love this app. I'm learning these scripture mastery really fast. I'd love to have a feature where I could listen to the scripture mastery scriptures. You could probably pull the audio for the verses from the audiobooks of the scriptures. Then if I could hit repeat for a certain verse that I'm wanting to solidify in my head, or even if I could pick several verses that I've been working on that I want to solidify - I think that would be another extremely powerful tool for me to memorize scriptures. That way I could use the flash cards with my morning study, and then I could listen to the verses I was working on while I exercise. Another feature that I would love would be the ability to select any verse or set of verses from the entire scriptures that I would like to memorize and have them be added as flash cards to a "personal scripture mastery" section. Then I could more easily memorize scriptures for lessons or personal benefit. Thanks! :D

I have read your post and this is what came to my heart. I would obey my parents above all things. I do not believe Heavenly Father would strip you of your testimony because your parents have forbid any type of LDS influence. I do agree having LDS material readily available is vital in having a strong testimony, but it's not everything. Your testimony is something you feel in your heart and soul, a non tangible item that can't be taken away by anyone. I suggest getting a journal an documenting your love for the gospel and how it makes you feel. Try to recall all you know and write down. You will eventually build your own material that will uplift your spirit until you can have church produced materials again. Your journal isn't produced by the church therefore you are obeying your parents wishes. This must be very difficult for you and your parents. I pray for you all in hopes the gospel will return to your home once again. Many blessings and prayers.

I love this app, and I was so excited when it was finally updated with the new scripture mastery. However, when they changed some new formatting issues arose that are somewhat annoying. When you are in the memorize section and making blanks replace the words, some of the blanks start to disappear and there is just an indentation on the next line where that blank would be. I also miss the way that on the older version of the app you could toggle between seeing the words and the blanks. I personally like the older format better, but the new format would be fine if they would fix the minor issues. Overall, though, I really like this app and I would use it all the time to memorize scripture mastery.

I love this app! I agree with what other reviewers have said. AoF sections doesn't work. And having the pictures of the prophets pop up would be cool! I'd love to get those better.Here are other suggestions:Any way of getting something for chapter headings in each of the standard works? I want to get to know the chapters better and I think this medium would be a great way to learn them!I also think you should have a "shuffle all" section where the app doesn't tell you which of the standard works the reference is coming from. That'd be a great way to really test out my remembrance!Also, under the "quiz" section, is there a way to have the actual verses instead of just the summary? I like to quiz myself and would love to be able to toggle between the summary and verses like I can do for the flash cards.(I realize that if there are four verses quoted that it would be obvious not to select a reference with just one verse, but maybe you could quote only part of the entire reference or could make sure if 3 verses are quotes then the options to select from would also have three verses)Thanks for such a great app!

Would be awesome if you could have this app available on Apple Watch. (See the Flashcards by NKO apple watch app - its excellent).Also, it would be awesome if you could connect to my lds library app and automatically make scripture Flashcards out of any scripture I’ve highlighted, grouped by the tags I’ve already given them. With the option of having any personal notes I’ve made added to the bottom of the scripture text. I already do this using the Flashcards by NKO app, but it’s super cumbersome (copy and paste into a different flashcard app (that i can use my pc to copy/paste), then import onto NKO on my iPhone and then update to my Apple Watch in the NKO app… Every time I add a scripture.

I am not currently a seminary student, but I have used this app to memorize over 100 passages of scripture in the last four months. I use the "share" feature to import passages from the gospel library app to the "my scriptures" content selection. I then use the flash card feature to review passages I have previously memorized. I do this with all scriptures I memorize.I only seldom use the quiz feature and never use the quiz scores, or the slider that removes words.I have compared this app with other memorization and flash card apps, but the UI, design, and connection with the LDS library make this app far better suited to my needs than any other app.There are a few features that I think will greatly improve this app:• the ability to sync across devices• the ability to reverse the flash cards, so you can memorize the references as well• the ability to create multiple custom groups of scripture passages• the ability to add scripture passages from the official doctrinal mastery lists directly to "my scriptures"• the ability to rearrange the order of scripture passagesOverall, I'm very happy with this app and hope improvements are made in the future.

I love the design of this app and I really want to use it to learn the Scripture mastery but it's missing some key features to help it feel more game like. First of all I should be able to pick which scripture mastery to study. For instance, we've only learned the first 10 Doctrine & Covenants so far and I should be able to limit my memorize, quiz, and flash card page to those 10 since those are the only ones I'm focusing on right now. Also I should be able to share my score on social media like Facebook. It'll be a easy way to start a discussion with my friends. And we should turn it into more of a game to make the scriptures easier and more fun to learn. For instance, it should have Game Center integration. That way I can challenge my siblings and best friends to beat my score. It's fine to compete against myself but it really makes it fun to compete against my siblings in learning the scriptures. Right now, this app is beautiful, but not very useful. I still would learn better with little paper flash cards to carry around because I can challenge my friends and I can limit which ones I'm studying currently. It's sad because this app has so much good potential. It's just missing a couple really important features. .
