I am a 47 year old high school teacher, and I teach AP Calculus BC. The kids in my class kept on playing this game so I wanted to see what it was all about. After just one week, I fell in love with the game. Now it is all I play. But soon after this “addiction” (my girlfriend says I’m addicted) took the wheel, my wife of twenty six years divorced me, and took our three children. But it’s all okay because me and my girlfriend have another coming.

They update this app seemingly every week. Yet the connection to the server invariably fails and you have to hit retry, which seems to always work. Super annoying that they haven’t figured out how to do an automated retry.Latest update completely changed the way to get to the daily puzzle. It used to be a 1 click, but now it’s a whole nested tree of clicks.Please make the app less buggy and consider quality of life improvements instead of focusing on getting folk to try your latest gimmicks

This app was / is the go-to internationally for a reason. But they’ve started selling ad space and subscriptions and everything in between recently; it’s just a matter of time before it becomes as bloated and overrun as anything else out there powered by greed and profit. For now, you can still play chess relatively easily. Counting down the days though before you can’t see the board through all the videos and banners.

This thing is just awesome fun easy way to play chess and there's not necessarily anything wrong with it. I do wish you would add some fun variants to it. Like atomic chest and others maybe it's available on like the website or something I don't know but yeah and also I'm not 100% sure about this but if it doesn't already exist, can you please add away to do it an in person game with two people or just in general a way to take chess games that are not on the site and still review them.

I love this game so much. One of my favorite things is that you can watch people play and chat OMG and you don’t have to play in real life. If you don’t want to you could be playing with someone all the way on the other side of the planet and you could still play with them. I love this so much And this is helping me with chess. I love the lessons. I love the puzzles. I just really really really love this game and it’s really really really good for road trips. I can never get bored.

I have recently made the decision to start learning chess, but I really didn’t want to go all in. I figured apps like this one could quickly enhance my skills, without having to buy a $10 chess theory book. What I am not so pleased to find is that the amount of lessons you are allowed is insanely low. The company has to make money somehow, which is completely understandable, but I think one lesson every few days just isn’t enough.

Hi, I absolutely love this app and have been grinding it the past few weeks, but one thing I’ve noticed about the iPad app in particular is that a lot of features are missing. I can’t copy the PGNs of my games in this iOS app, and whenever I try to go the website on my Chrome browser, it auto-opens the app, so I have to use Safari which is not my default browser. Little things like that make sharing my games a headache on this version. Otherwise incredible app :)

I love this app. I’ve been playing since 2020 and although there were some quality control issues it’s been a long time since there was any problem. I use it every day.The ONE and only thing I hate is that in the puzzles mode you get penalized three or four times more for a wrong answer than you get for a right answer, and that just seems wrong. And I don’t think it’s the way it used to be

It’s good for only playing chess but the amount of premium features ruins the experience compared applications like Lichess. The ads get really annoying very quickly, I get roughly 1 ad every time I open the app. The chess experience itself is good when playing matches with others but when you’re not in a chess game is when the experience goes downhill. Please just lower the amount of ads it would make the user experience much better.

I love this app, you can play modes, play bots/real people and it even helps you learn with the coach, lessons, and puzzles. The one bad thing though, is that you have to pay to access/use things more than a few times every 24 hours. If it made you pay less for those features, I would consider buying it. However, I understand that it is the only way they make profit, so if they keep going with it, that’s okay by me.
