If Wikipedia has no fans, I am dead. I love you Wikipedia. If every single person in the world had this app and read one page a day we’d all be geniuses in under a year. Every single person who helped create and maintain Wikipedia should be proud of themselves with every waking moment.

It’s honestly amazing. I’d been largely using desktop, but this app feels so much quicker for fast tracing of lines. I also love the folder system to organize thoughts. I’d love to see a structure just above that, that groups those folders. I imagine for me: id have master groups, like physical, mental, spiritual, or social: and then id tuck various sciences, schools of thought, places, people, book etc into them. A two tier system. It would be a revolutionary change, and a reletively minor one. Think about it. Anyways. Great app. Thanks for bein younwikipedia.

Great app, great website. Love Wikipedia. Even in the age of AI, Wikipedia will still have a place in my life. Nothing beats browsing. Just wish the iOS widgets worked better, very buggy. The photo of the day and featured article widgets never work, always break. Reinstalling, restarting never works. Always get the error of “no featured article for this day,” and the photo of the day doesn’t refresh, stuck on the same photo for days, and when you click on it, it just takes you to the general Wikipedia home page.

I downloaded the app, because I enjoy going on some deep dives on my pc or on my phone. Previously, I just used my normal web browser. Decided to download the app. The layout and navigating the app feels far too different from the website for me. I have deleted the app, just so I can go back to using my web browser. Never red a single page on the app. I would click on the link in my browser, get taken to the app, then close the app, and open the page on my computer, where I never had the app.

I have Latin Extended fonts installed on my iPad, but I cannot view Egyptological characters because the Wikipedia app renders English articles using a system font that doesn't support them. It is possible for iOS/iPadOS to support users' custom fonts. Since Wikipedia is supposed to be a repository of knowledge, it should support custom fonts that render the characters used in Wikipedia articles—especially something as basic as a double alef. Please task your engineers with creating a setting in the mobile app that allows users to render articles using a preferred font. You don't even need to build in a way for users to add their own fonts. Just allow us to access fonts that are already installed on our devices. Also, hire a UX designer to fix your interaction flow; it's garbage. It shouldn't take so many clicks to go from the article I'm currently looking at to an active search bar I can type in.

*updated April 4, 2026*Why do apps like to change the search function to require more and more clicks to access? Newest version added a different search button, but then requires another click to begin typing. Why?I use the app every day so what am I gonna do about it, but that doesn't mean I can't be annoyed by it. *previous review*Using the app in dark mode keeps a lot of text from showing up - for instance, trying to read the track listing of any record will result in half of the tracks being blank. They show up perfectly in light mode. Also, a new issue, when scrolling if you move your finger a little to the left or the right the text will just slide right off the screen and you’re reading a blank space. I would recommend not downloading this until these issues are fixed.

The search feature within a page stopped working months ago yet Wiki still has not addressed it. I’ve emailed and reached out several times to please fix this, or at minimum provide a work around (ie browser vs app, something) or else remove the icon entirely. This makes no sense not to have been addressed by now. I am withholding all donations and support for the program and will seek other apps. Epic Marketing 101 fail. I find the attitude unprofessional in that customer feedback is rendered pointless.

New update means that the quick access toolbar shows as white against light grey no matter which theme you use. This makes finding and using the "search within" or "view outline" or "change text size" options a literal headache. Please match the quick access toolbar to the user-selected theme and/or pick colors thst are easy to read or view. Light grey and white are never a readable combination. Please use colors inspired by books: white against black, black against white. (Sepia is also acceptable.) This goes to accessibility and general ease of use.

An update to this app made search almost completely unusable. While typing, the results flicker in and out, and often end up only showing results for the first letter typed. I have to type in another character then delete it in order to trick it into showing me the correct results.Besides search, the UI has gotten extremely buggy. Title bars vanish and reappear, animations look really glitchy, and layout is unpredictable.This app used to be great, but recent updates have made me want to search for alternatives.
