HitMeal - compteur calories
Notes et avis
The app is great, the UI is easy to understand and the layout is very beginner friendly. I love the protein, carb and fat layout but a few suggestions: we should be able to see micronutrients too at least fiber, iron and vitamins as these nutrients are also important to people that track their meals. Additionally, when we add/create new food items we need to be able to put the serving size in g instead of just oz/fl oz and we should be able to put the actual weight instead of the approximates of 0.25,0.3,etc. if the developers can take this into account the app will be five star.

This is the most easy to use free app ever. It has recipes and meal plans to help it has a fasting schedule all for free. Absolutely love this app and recommend it to anyone just starting to track calories and micro. The scanner to log food is free. It also tracks water intake. And weight. Can’t say enough good things about it. This app helped me with all my weight loss journey. Was 220 lbs. now 203lbs. With just changing eating habits. I wanted to get comfortable with eating before adding other healthy things.

I was a paid version user until now. The app is entirely non-responsive — I can’t tap or interact with anything, making it unusable.Support was equally disappointing. Despite explaining the issue clearly and confirming I had already tried basic troubleshooting, I received a generic, dismissive response that didn’t address the problem at all.If an app doesn’t work and support won’t actually help, there’s no reason to keep it. I’ve already switched to a better alternative.

I'm really not happy that I cannot get anyone in customer support to email me back with answers to my questions. This is the second time that I've signed up for this app and I am finding a lot of things that I scan are coming back incorrect. Things that I search are coming back with inaccurate information as far as nutrition. If I have to Google and get more accurate information what is the point of this app? There really needs to be away to edit inaccurate information even if it's just 1g off on protein or 10g more carbs than the food item is. I also don't like that the app doesn't take into consideration fiber when counting net carbs. Also, why isn't it possible to delete recently logged instead of having a grow to infinity? Where is the help for these issues?

I have the full paid for app and have been using the app for a few months now and track everything all day everyday. This app has been a huge help and big eye opener but the owners need to do a few things different and get some updates going. 1. Make the calculator where you can change your parameters to your own needs and not just some randomness they decide. I bought the subscription so I could and you can’t.2. There are tons of new foods coming out all the time and there are some that are just nonexistent on the app but other apps have them. New or old. It goes both ways. 3. Smaller brands/Stores/Gas stations. There’s a lot of different places to shop and some of other places are no where to be found on the app. Big gas station names like Casey’s should be there. They have their own stuff and sometimes these stores have special sizes and macros that aren’t there. 4. Fast food places like subway and or a few others really need to be updated and added to. I’m sure tons of people are using subway and others to get by sometimes and it would be great if you could just type in ANYTHING you got and not have to add a new food and go off a menu online until you get everything saved and tracked.

I have the premium version. Adding recipes is a huge hassle. Often the ingredient I want to add does have the conversion it actually needs. For example 1 tablespoon orange juice for my own Koulourakia recipe had to be converted to oz. Some things convert to something like .3333 or a decimal like that. It’s an extremely unpleasant process. It should be easy to add recipes or what’s the point of the add recipe feature? Some of the recipes are simply not good either. For example when I tried to make anpork and peanut sauce recipe. I am a very precise cook so I know I did it correctly. The coleslaw was sour. It made me gag it was so disgusting and I had to improvise and make a whole new recipe. I wasted a lot of food too and it was really heartbreaking. I don’t like sweet foods or sugar but I would expect something edible from a recipe collection I paid for. Please please: 1. Fix the recipe feature to use any unit of measurements I would like 2. actually taste the recipes you’re publishing on the app. Some are really terrible! Also some of the foods are ridiculous. Like salmon and avocado. Though that’s not too bad price wise, Some of them the stuff is crazy expensive. Not everyone has the time, money, or ability to be making super complicated meals - which is why some people might have gotten the app and why I did as well. If it’s an app only for rich people it’s so disappointing that wasn’t advertised before I paid. If you’re here for tasty, affordable, and healthy recipes I’m afraid you have come to the WRONG place.

This app is the best of its kind, the interface is simple and beautiful. I can track weight, water, and macros on top of calories, which has a nice time graph for all. Love it! Great barcode scanner, and entering food is quick, exactly how it’s needed. I love tracking my food I used to write it in my notes. If I can make two suggestions to developers, I mean no offense… when I add new food, I wish there was a way that I could combine my foods I had scanned to create one food. For example, I drink the same chia seed smoothie several times a week, and to be accurate I have all ingredients separated out. Well each time I track it, I have to find each ingredient in my favorites and add. When I press the plus button, the screen scrolls up to the top, and then I have to scroll back down again to that area (which can be a long list). If there was a way to make this a custom food that I can add all the ingredients together that I scanned, or, if that list didn’t scroll to the top when pressing the plus… 👌👌👌 Just in case you are taking user suggestions :) Great app, very beautifully designed, does exactly what it’s supposed to do and very efficiently!

This app is easy to use. There’s a good amount of food already in the system for barcode scanning, and I can take pictures of my own foods if entering a new one. I can save favorite foods that I eat often so they’re easy to add and I don’t have to scan a barcode every time I eat something. A lot to like, HOWEVER, it drove me absolutely insane that their units of measurement are non-comprehensive. If adding my own food, it would only give me the option to add fl oz or ml when I’m not even adding a liquid, so instead I’d like to see tbsp, cup, oz, etc. but those don’t exist. Because of this limitation, it wasn’t accurately tracking my quantity. Also, I wish there was a space, a note section if you will, to add something about the food. For example, one serving size of a brand of breakfast sausages is 3 links, but I can’t put that in anywhere. It’ll just record as “1 serving”. So I have to then remember the serving size (according to a food package) for so many different foods. Imagine liking and buying five different types of breakfast sausage and they each have their own serving size, and you just have to automatically know and remember when you input which sausage brand has which serving size. For these reasons, I deleted the app and am searching for a new one.

I have been using HitMeal for about a month now, and I could go on and on about what it does right. I love how nutrition information from even some more obscure restaurants and recipes are easy to find. I like how easy it is to add your own recipes, and the interface you use to go about all this. A few features that I think would be very beneficial though: 1. More fine-grained control of custom recipe portions. I sometimes eat different amounts than just whole, halves, thirds and quarters, of a serving. Since the ingredients all include weight and/or volume, being able to control it that way would be a game-changer.2. Being able to choose portion size from the calories/macro values. If I want to eat X number of calories of something, it would be awesome if I could type in X and get how much I would need to eat to do this.3. Having the search feature include your custom recipes when searching under breakfast, lunch, etc. that’s my workflow for most items, so having it extend to your recipes would be convenient.Regardless of these gripes, this is a stellar app and I applaud the developer for it!
This app is so limited and structured so tight there’s no options or flexibility. The meal plans and recipes are the only thing I like about it. If you want to eat a lunch meal for dinner you can’t get it to enter onto the dinner diary. It only goes to lunch. You can’t add your own recipes nor can you copy a days meal to another day. You can’t even enter the next days meals ahead of time (planning ahead!). You have to wait till after midnight to enter the next day. There’s no way to adjust your goal calories or macro nutrients. There’s no community or friend sharing with other app users to congratulate friends or share your own accomplishments. You can’t copy in recipes from the internet but have to type every single ingredient in every time. Don’t bother getting this app or spending the money to even be able to use it. There is no free version. My advice is go with My Fitness Pal. It does all this for free and if you want more, (yes it does more than this too) you can go premium and open a whole new set of tools and helpful items. I am regretting spending any $ at all on this. Only reason I didn’t give it 1 star is I like the recipes. Go elsewhere!!
