Papumba is a pretty good educational app for kids. There’s a pretty good variety of educational games and activities for a variety of ages and abilities. My son enjoyed using it for a couple years.Unfortunately, sometime late in 2024 we were no longer able to access the app. I spent many months trying to get support from the Papumba team. The majority of the time they did not respond at all. When they did, they requested information about our account to help us gain access to the app. Then they didn’t respond with any assistance. This happened repeatedly over many months. Eventually, I requested a refund for our annual subscription since we haven’t had any access at all to the app since we paid our most recent annual subscription. They did not respond.I requested a refund through my credit card company, but was told that Pupumba refused to provide the refund.It’s all a shame since my son would’ve liked to continue using the app for several more years.

This app is a really great app in terms of education. He has a great games that teach colors and numbers and even has really cool games that allow free play in different worlds. Though, there is one big glaring issue with this app that needs to be changed: lack of diversity. For instance, in one of the games that teaches about different careers, all of the characters of each career are white. Having a black child, it’s concerning to not see any other people of color, especially as my son is learning these careers. It would be nice to have a game that shows characters that are reflection of my son so that both he and other kids see themselves no matter their color, in the shoes of the characters that he’s learning about. In the year 2022, diversity is no longer a choice, it is a requirement. And if you make products that you want all children to use, it needs to reflect them all.

Unfortunately, the AI stories are not very engaging or good for children. It’s clear that the human element is needed to create something fun while also ensuring it’s simple and interesting for young readers.To clarify- when I say the human element is needed, I’m not just talking about the humans inputting into ai. Good story is not about an algorithm or a following patterns, like ai does. Story requires heart and understanding the human condition, which a computer can’t do (as is evident with the mediocre story it generates). If Papumba is willing to subject children to an inhuman and uncreative program (that anyone could access anywhere, frankly) just to save a few bucks so they don’t have to pay writers, then that’s pretty concerning. Give your children access at your own risk.

My nephew and I really enjoy using this app! I like how their is a variety of different activities for kids to play with on this app, and my nephew has learned a lot of new things from using this app too! I would recommend this app for any parent that is trying to teach their child something new whether if it is for getting their child ready for school or for helping their child learn a new skill!!! 😁😎😀

I had an issue with running out of devices and being unable to log in after upgrading my phone and needing to reset my iPad as new. The developer reached out and sent instructions on how to fix the issue. 5-star app with 5-star support, my kids love this app and my 6-year old is doing advanced (for her grade) math at school, all thanks to one of the cooking baking games available here.

My son loves this app. He was so excited when he saw there is a memory game. Those are his favorites! It was easy for him to navigate. As a mom, I really appreciate the games in this. For example, the games about dealing with frustration or how to respond in bullying scenarios. I think that we could use more things like this for our children these days. I highly recommend and so does my 4 year old!

They had a very unique and fun map as the main menu , then did away with it in an update. Incredibly disappointing. The map layout was one of the main reasons we were attracted to the app in the first place. The games are still the same and very fun but my toddler went from loving the map to feeling completely overwhelmed by the very busy and chaotic side scroll menu. He discontinued using it after they changed it to the new format so I have canceled my renewed subscription. If they went back to the map format I definitely would re-subscribe.

The app is good it only offers the option to be paying $5.99 a month and this app is from 2 to 6 years old and if you have multiple kids ull be paying for 10yrs or more, other apps offer a lifetime buy for a large amount but if you have multiple kids it will be worth getting it, other than that the app just need more content but I would have giving it 4 or 5 stars if it had that option

This is my son’s favorite app! He’s been using it for a couple of years now. His favorite activity is the color by number feature. I love that the app is both educational and fun!

This application is perfect for kids in the beginning stages of learning. I like that we can include educational opportunities along with screen time.
