The warning you're seeing is a standard message shown for any browser extension that has permission to interact with web pages — especially those designed to fill or save login details, like Proton Pass.Proton Pass does not automatically collect or store phone numbers, credit card information, or any other personal data unless you choose to save that information into your vault. The extension needs access to web content only to detect login forms and securely fill in credentials or other saved data that you've added. This is why the browser shows such a broad warning — it's based on the technical permissions, not actual behavior. All data saved in Proton Pass — including passwords, notes, and any optional information like credit card numbers — is end-to-end encrypted, meaning not even Proton can see it.
