DAMA hides the private information in your screenshots and photos — automatically, and without ever uploading them. All detection runs on your iPhone, even in airplane mode.
Point it at a screenshot and it finds the faces, ID numbers, phone numbers, emails, QR codes and chat avatars on its own, then masks them in a single tap. Sending a copy of an ID or a contract? Lay a repeating watermark across the whole image so it can’t be reused anywhere else.
# Detected Automatically
- Phone numbers and email addresses
- Faces, QR codes and barcodes
- Chat avatars and nicknames
- ID numbers, card numbers, tracking numbers and other long digits
- License plates and IP addresses
- Names, places and organizations (experimental)
Tap any text in the image to mask that whole line. Or drag across the photo to mask any rectangle you like.
# Masking Tools
Color bar, pixelate, blur, marker and emoji — plus a unique “Hide Text” tool that erases text completely when the background is near-solid, so the result doesn’t even look redacted.
# Full-Screen Watermark for Documents
Sending a scan of your ID card, passport, driver’s license or diploma? A watermark tiled across the entire image makes the copy useless to anyone else. Type your own text — “For visa application only”, a name, a date — then adjust the size, color, opacity, angle and spacing until it reads clearly without covering what matters. Your settings are remembered for the next document. Like everything else in DAMA, this happens entirely on your iPhone — the scan never leaves the device.
# EXIF Stripped on Share
When you share from DAMA, the GPS coordinates, camera model and the rest of the EXIF/TIFF data are removed automatically.
# Why We Built It
We share screenshots and photos every day, and hiding the private parts by hand is slow and leaves the image ugly. DAMA does it in a tap and keeps the picture looking like a picture.
# Privacy Policy
Thanks to CoreML and the Vision framework, every detection runs on your device. DAMA never uploads your images, and works fully offline.
