Checklist Archive

Save & Reuse Task Checklists

Free · In-App Purchases

Create checklists for recurring tasks (using checkboxes, headers, text, divider lines, and blank spacers) and edit them over time. Use them on your device or export them to share or print. Pin the checklist you’re currently working on to your (macOS) menu bar. Share your checklists and import checklists others share with you. Create categories to help organize your saved checklists so you have them ready when you’re going on a trip (or traveling longer-term), doing chores and other housekeeping tasks, or keeping track of work-related duties. Features: • Create, edit, categorize, save, organize, and share nested checklists • Export as PDFs or CSVs (and import CSV checklists made by others) • Pin active checklist to macOS menu bar • Apply absolute or relative timestamps to your completed tasks • Checklists and categories sync between your iOS and macOS devices

I am constantly refining these apps based on how you actually use them in the real world. This update focuses heavily on fixing bugs and polishing the fundamentals: • Dark Mode: I completely rebuilt the theme selector in Settings. Previously, toggling between Light and Dark mode could cause a brief visual flicker while the app caught up. That’s gone. Tap Dark Mode, and the entire app updates instantly. It just works now. • Smarter Landscape Mode: On iPhone, the "+" Add Item button now adapts to how you hold your device. Keep it in portrait, and the button sits at the bottom where your thumb can easily reach it. Turn your phone sideways, and the button hops up to the top navigation bar, getting out of the way so you can actually read your list. • Accessibility Polish: Good software is for everyone, so I spent a lot of time improving VoiceOver support in particular. The theme selector now correctly announces your active choice, the expand/collapse arrows on sub-tasks clearly explain what they do, and the sidebar menu correctly identifies itself to screen readers. • Squashed a Pro Paywall Bug: I fixed a race condition where users who had already purchased the Pro upgrade would sometimes briefly see the paywall on a cold launch while iCloud was loading. • Wider Device Support: Checklist Archive now fully supports all devices running iOS 17.0+ and macOS 14.0+ (previously required 17.6 and 14.6) with absolutely no feature trade-offs.
