This is my favorite game. I've been playing for four years, and I love my characters and every region in its own way. BUT. These 50/50s and Fate Points are just unbearably frustrating. I'm just a regular student who has only bought the Welkin Moon a couple of times, and that's it. Plus, there are so few Primogems, even though the new region has increased rewards significantly. It's really, really hard for me to get my favorite characters with their signature weapons (and sometimes constellations are necessary for a comfortable gameplay experience 😭). This makes me so sad, and that's why I've been quitting the game so often over the years. And the prices for in-game purchases are just too high 😔. The last time I bought the Welkin Moon was for Arlecchino, but I lost the 50/50. Now I’m planning to quit the game for good. It's really unfortunate, but there's nothing left for me to do there. Still, it's an amazing game with some of my warmest memories.
More quality writing for the stories and personalities of characters
Диана_0
Please, bring the character design and writing team that had worked on Fontaine back. Great old designs laced with both respect and novice, they were catching the eye instantly, actually representing something about their owners’ personality. Great examples of uniqueness were Arlecchino, Neuvilette, Furina; older characters of Liyue like Hu Tao; OLD Inazuma and Mondstadt characters. Lately as the revenue and interest for the game had declined the designer team had resorted to mediocre, plain, and repetitive characters.I found out about Genshin a few years ago through friends, and all of them had stopped playing due to how absolutely cheap and pandering the marketing had become. I stopped donating, as it seems that the support that would be given from players to the company is now being wasted on drawing yet another half-naked, lingerie wearing girl. No problem with similar characters like Lisa or Rosaria, as there’s more to them than a conventionally attractive design — story and personality wise. This rule had changed lately with Varesa, Citlali, and new boring, NPC-like characters like Escoffier. Nevertheless, I would indeed like it a lot more if we could see some pants-wearing, comfortably clothed girl characters, as designs have to carry at least SOME practicality and rationality behind them; otherwise they are watered down to aesthetic purposes and are not great for a lore-intensive games. I believe this year and on Genshin is no longer an award deserving game with its absence of constructive design or creative appeal. My support and love for the game were relentless, yet until we see anything actually engaging, story and character wise, this game had sadly downgraded to yet another mid gacha.
why the skip button?
beenbeam
I started playing your game in the release year, and since then it felt natural for me to support it financially because I genuinely loved the storytelling and the character writing. I logged in every day, and for five years this game was my comfort place. A lot of memories are connected to it.But now, for the first time, I no longer feel that same attachment. I notice myself opening the game less and less often. Even completing quests feels exhausting rather than exciting. I don’t like the direction the story is taking, I don’t like how the Traveler is portrayed, and I especially dislike what has been done with the Fatui.Releasing the Fatui teaser was an incredibly strong marketing move. Every single character immediately stood out and created anticipation. But what did we get in the end? Capitano half-dead, Signora dead, Dottore seemingly dead, Columbina detached from reality. What is supposed to remain of the Fatui that so many players became attached to?When you create compelling antagonists, constantly killing them off or trying to soften and justify them weakens the impact. And it especially feels repetitive with female characters. The fandom does not want empty characters or wasted potential. People became invested because these characters felt dangerous, charismatic, and important to the world.Right now it feels like that complexity is disappearing, and with it, part of the reason many long-time players cared so deeply in the first place.
Genshin Needs a Dialogue Skip Button
Evilisonka
I’ve been playing Genshin Impact since nearly the beginning, and it was my favorite game for many years. But over time, the endless — and often poorly written — dialogues with no skip option completely drained my interest. I tried to return several times because I truly love the world and characters, but every time, I burned out after just one day.I’ve invested a lot of time, money, and energy into this game, yet I feel completely disrespected as a player. Many modern games now offer the option to skip dialogues and provide a summary. Genshin still doesn’t — even after years of constant requests. Meanwhile, HoYoverse has added this feature to their other titles but continues to ignore the core community that made their success possible.I genuinely loved Genshin, but without a basic skip button, I see no reason to come back. This lack of a fundamental quality-of-life feature shows a clear disregard for the player base. Until they fix this, I can’t recommend the game to anyone — the risk of burnout from long, unskippable filler dialogues is simply too high.
