We love how much there is to explore with this app for audio lovers. With audiobooks, podcasts, radio plays, language courses and Audible Originals you won’t find anywhere else, there's so much to explore – even beyond just books.
I have listened to this author and readers several times before and they are very talented bunch of people. This book is very well written, like most such books it is easy to guess the plot twists, but that is one of the things I like about them. This book however decided to add endless sidebar of the male reader telling us not to worry as things will soon have an explanation. As if most people hadn’t guessed at the first few minutes of each story arch. At the big reveal literally the only thing most people hadn’t guessed was the favorite book genre of one of the mother and that was irrelevant either way.The avid readers/listeners I know don’t like to be interrupted all the time, specifically not by the “reader” patronisingly telling us things will soon become clear (in a very obvious book). There was also endless annoyance within the story (the characters being annoyed and annoying) which was more grating because of the format. The main annoyance was because of things there is noooo way nobody within the story would have guessed and noooo way any sane person wouldn’t have addressed 2-3 days earlier than they had planned to prevent the worry and friction.
I started listening ti audible 2016 when i was suffering from bad headaces. The headaces stopped but I had found a new friend in the audiblebooks. I am an artist and find it just perfect to be able to be listening to the books while i am working.I have today listen to close to1000 audible books and enjoed most of them. I found out early on how important the narration is. A bad one can totaly destroy a good book. Not beeing the cleverest computer person i resantly found out that you can actually send back books that dissapoint you. I think that is great. As a constant user of audible I think it would be good to be able to buy say, 20 credits at a time and get a better price, that was possible before.I will end this by saying that i think audible is simply a new and a better way of life. Therefore i have tried to get all my friends to join.I am 70 and have always read a lot,,,but now I can do two things at a time,,,perfekt,,,thanks so much !
I like Audible, it often helps me to fall asleep when I relisten to a book I’ve already listened to. Plus I can this better remebmer what the book had to say. I do not like fiction books so much, I like nonfiction science and advice books. I enjoy listening and betting better while I drive, walk and work on easy tasks. The app is good and I like the way you can keep your books.-20 year old student from Iceland.
I used to love the Audible app but the latest updates have really taken a downturn usability wise. The new filtering options for your library make it frustrating to sort through the books you’ve got unfinished due to the “unfinished” filter being gone entirely. Also, the app resets the bloody filter settings. It used to do this whenever the app restarted which was annoying enough but now it happens whenever the app loses focus. This should seriously be cached in user preferences.I could go on, like complain about how the interface contains too much always visible clutter like the “Originals” tab that’s pretty much just another store page. Why is it always visible anyway? You select 2 from the list every month and that’s it - you don’t need to visit the tab again for a month. It’s nonsense. Until the app reverts to a more sensible design (at least as far as the filters are concerned) I’m keeping my rating of it floored. It honestly is that annoying to use now and I really did love it to bits once.
As much as I love the access to books, I think it is really weird to pay monthly fee for access and then pay per book, then if you stop paying monthly we take away what you already your access.. also, paying a subscription and each time you open the app the app pops up to a “hey turn on notifications so we can bother you” makes me want to run away 🥴🫠 other than that, love the books and the platform works well. There are still improvements that can benefit the user but will not be implemented unless it turns a profit… 😬
I use this app everyday for abt 1 1/2 hes a day and i always find some food books. I have found a good book thats called “hell divers” i recommend listening to it😍😍
The app does what it should well enough but it loses track of where I was in a particular book too easily. This is particularly the case when I move from the phone app to the web based one on my laptop.
The storyline keeps your attention all the time. The book also teaches you so much about customs in India in the early 1900 hundreds. A pura delight to listen to.
Absolutely a must read if you want to be free, feel empowered and have better relationships in all areas of your life 🙏🏻
The worst audio book app I had. The UI is just an outdated piece of …. So many levels of subscription, that you don’t really understand what you are paying for. And it is almost impossible to find books that are available for your subscription if it is not the highest price. Not recommend
