1. Antyodaya train type is not yet included in mobile app. As Antyodaya train fare is 15% higher than Superfast, I had to pay a fine as i had selected Superfast while booking the ticket. It has been more than 6 months after i raised complaint for the same issue. But no resolution till date. I really don’t understand the problems in implementing this facility which is available in counters / ATVMs2. Also we are facing troubles to get a connecting train ticket as it is not possible to book ticket inside the station and on tracks. If the option is given, it will be very useful. Now we need to get down in the station and run to ticket counters / ATVM to get tickets. Sometimes if the buffer time is less, this creates a lot of pressure / fear of losing the connecting train.

This app is nightmare to use. I want to know who developed this app. After entering all the details it will ask to login and register. After registration again you need to start from the beginning. After booking, if you select show ticket it will say no active ticket found. If you click on booking history it will ask to login. Login and try again it will display partial ticket, click on it for more details instead it will ask you whether you want to rebook the ticket. What the hell and top of that beside my ticket it will show next trains. What the hell I am supposed to with next train and why it’s getting displayed in booking history. Ticket id in Booking history and Cancel ticket are different. I can’t logout and login from different mobile it says my imei verification under progress. One more thing, how the common man should know whether the train is slow, express of super fast especially express and super fast in India train does not make any difference instead could have provided Option to select train which is much easier. Did the people get paid to rate so much for this under developed app? School kids will do a better job.

UTS app is greeting degraded day by day instead of getting better. Indian railway may try n number of campaigns for going online but it will leave the user in pain. I am using UTS since pretty long time now and it was working just okay. But since last 2 weeks I am trying to book a simple AC pass and it is not getting booked. Money gets debuted within seconds but then the screen just keeps loading and transaction gets failed. Also the money which is spent takes a lot of patience to return. Same goes for booking tickets also. Also their complaint system is bogus and waste, it doesn’t have any provision for local tickets or local train pass complaints. I again tried after few days and tried rebooking the pass keeping faith and trust in the app. But again same story repeated. I am on the verge of deleting this application and on my way to book ticket traditionally from the ticketing window. Thanks for checking my patience while running for early morning train.

This app is made by some of one who has developed traditional applications where internet is 100% available like via Ethernet and always connected. Whoever developed this has followed this design pattern all over this app were most of the api calls are synchronous. Synchronous and poor internet connectivity are natural enemies which is why this app struggles to reach to a network in areas where poor connectivity is the norm. Please understand Most places have very weak network and this app tries very hard to reach the server only to fail us when we are in need.Please make the app offline capable and ensure we can do some work like retrieving the tickets in offline. Plus don’t clog the UI with your loader animation. Please make sure future updates bring in offline capable. Else don’t think about developing this mobile app and put us in hardship.
