I’ve tried a bunch of different email clients over the years to manage my inbox, but I always end up coming back to the official Gmail app. It honestly just works. Having all my accounts—both work and personal—in one place is a massive time saver, and switching between them takes a fraction of a second.The biggest selling point for me is the search function. It’s incredibly fast and accurate (which makes sense, considering it’s Google), so I never have to manually dig through folders to find a year-old receipt or an important attachment. The spam filter is also practically flawless.The UI is clean, intuitive, and familiar. If I had one minor nitpick, it would be the sponsored ads that occasionally pop up at the top of the Promotions tab. They look a little too much like regular emails, which can be slightly annoying. However, you can easily swipe them away.Overall, notifications are instant, the app never crashes on me, and it handles large attachments smoothly. It’s an absolute workhorse of an app that does exactly what you need it to do without overcomplicating things. Highly recommend it if you just want an email app that is simple, fast, and dependable.

Are you guys aware that since over a year this bug exists? While composing a mail and selecting attachment option - images from phone's image folder do not get attached on email irrespective whether by clicking on image directly or clicking on select button under the image. Rarely success is achieved by trying dozen times per single image. Also option to select multiple images together don't even exist.Also, while sharing any file from any other app via Gmail, it choses only the default email profile as the sender and we don't get option to switch between other sender emails pre-configured on the app. These are so silly bugs and need to be resolved asap.

I’ve been using this app since a very long time but I’ve recently started facing issues related to notifications about the emails. I get them from every other app but this! So obviously this isn’t my device’s problem, but from the gmail app itself. I only get to know about the emails when I open the app. This shouldn’t be happening at all in a world where things are so much online. This isn’t just my issue as I see while writing the review so I hope google fixes this ASAP! Otherwise, the app has been really good. Hope it only improves further. 🤞🏻
