This powerful app is a first-class flight tracker for those on the move, offering flight maps, live tracking, delay forecasting and perfectly timed notifications that keep you up to date and stress-free.
Really great app! I’ve been using it for about a year now with the pro membership, even got my AvGeek partner the life time membership!Only downside is that with flights within the EU (Ryanair, Air Lingus from my experience) it doesn’t show the tail number before the flights or let me know the aircraft changes or delay prediction making me rely on FlightRadar24. I really wish they could add more data for EU flights.
Update to previous review:The tail number now doesn’t seem to be working at all. I do flight frequently and lately haven’t been been able to see if the flight will be delayed due to late arrival of aircraft which is the main justification for the pro subscription. The tail number is never assigned on the app. Most probably won’t renew the subscription because of this.————————Hello, I’ve been using this app with the pro subscription to monitor my and my family’s flights. The app has a good UI and it is easy to use. It has quite an extensive list of information available for each flight compared to other apps in the store. From my experience I will make the following suggestions: 1. The tail number has always been set when (or after) the plane takes off. This means no delay prediction is possible and you can’t see the “where’s my plane” part. Not the advertised 25hrs forecast. I believe these are the main features to justify the pro signature. Without them it just becomes the same as all other flight tracker free app on the store so it would be good to see some improvements here. I’ve also been submitting data issues for each flight to help improve the app. Looking forward for the following releases.
Definitely the most useful app for frequent flyers, but worth noting that sometimes it will refuse to update and be of no use. I was flying with Aer Lingus a few days ago and it never updated to say the flight was late, which it was, nor did it update the gate for boarding. There’s no way to tell the app that the flight is delayed either. All of this despite the Aer Lingus app having the right information as well as the apps for the arrivals/departure airports for my flight. When it works, it’s a genuinely brilliant app. When it doesn’t, it’s quite a let down. I don’t know if it’s issues with smaller airlines or if an issue with the app in general, but maybe try the trial or the weekly option to start with in case it happens you too.
The positive is that this is a very slick looking app, it’s well designed and functions well. However, I feel that there is a lot of pointless information there which is purely to pad it out and make it look useful. In reality, most of the data there is really of little value. For example, a large part of the screen real estate is taken up by a chart showing the historical on time performance of your particular flight. Maybe that’s interesting to look at once…..Also, it seems slow to show certain information such as aircraft registration - it’s available much earlier on other free platforms. Finally, it is extremely expensive for what you get. A more realistic price would be around €1/month.
Unfortunately I’m considering to cancel the subscription. I used Flighty for 3 flights. All of them were delayed (including the current one). For all of them the delay appeared in the app after the scheduled departure while airport displays showed it well in advance. My previus departure according the app was from mysterious Dublin 0 terminal, but we have only T1 & 2. Currently my flight is delayed for one hour, that was communicated more than an hour ago. Both airports website have this info, Google has this info. But according Flighty we’re on time. The whole purpose of the app is to be source of truth for my flight info. I haven’t found destination yes where it displays relevant data on time. (All 3 flights were in EU).
I used it for the first time and it’s useful than the original airline app. Live activities are very handy too. Classic flight tracker feature needed. So I can access all the info I want. But it’s great for tracking individual flights.
I have to say that this is a nice App, it looks really well, it has really good functionality and the coverage is great…But the price they want for a year’s subscription is ridiculous. It would be worth it maybe if you were using the App on some sort of a professional basis, but for the casual enthusiast, who flies once or twice a year, (as most of us do) it’s simply way too expensive.
When it works it’s great. But for half my flights to and from Ireland to the UK or Europe the flight info does not update. Sometimes the plane has landed and the app doesn’t even show that it took off.
This app is absolutely phenomenal everything is detailed and you even get notifications for your flight definitely a 10/10 if you ask me.
Excellent tracking app! I love how it works and the flexibility for configuration option options. Using calendar sync works great and adds your flights automatically. Great fan of this app!
