I am not sure whether this happend after I updated the iOS software or after updating the app because I did it at the same time, but my notification sounds for emails on all accounts in my phone completely changed. When I went into settings to check what had happend, the ones I am used to and previously chose weren’t even among the options anymore. The new ones are too soft and quiet for me to hear I have a new email. Really hope you can bring the old sounds back.
Critical bug: Gmail becomes permanently unusable after adding a problematic account

There is a serious bug in the Gmail iOS app.After adding one specific email account, the app immediately gets stuck on an infinite loading spinner. The loading screen completely blocks the UI, so I cannot switch accounts, access Settings, remove the account, or interact with the app in any way.Force-closing and reopening the app does not solve the problem. Every time the app starts, it immediately returns to the same infinite loading spinner, making Gmail permanently unusable. The only workaround is to uninstall the app or somehow remove the account outside of the app.The email account itself is working correctly and can be accessed through its official mail client, so the issue appears to be specific to the Gmail app.The app should never allow a single problematic account to block the entire application. If an account fails to synchronize or authenticate, Gmail should display an error for that account and still allow users to switch accounts or remove the problematic account.This is a critical usability issue and should be fixed as soon as possible.
Good app, needs better customer support

I love, love, love this app. There is however a problem with scheduling a meeting via Google calendar and when one of your attendees suggests an alternative time slot, when you look at the notification in the app, you cannot accept their suggestion. You need to go to your desktop.When I wrote to support about this, they answered that it’s not possible for attendees to suggest different time slots. Weird! It obviously is, as I see this very often happening with my meetings. Anyway, after I wrote this to support, THERE WERE NO MORE ANSWERS FROM SUPPORT.

As a Gmail user from the early (invite only) days, I know that Gmail and Google progressed tremendously, but there are still some important and useful things missing in the mobile Gmail. Automatic translation or even an option to easily send to Google Translate, so we don’t have to copy/paste to it. (Search) Filters, when will they see the light of day on iOS app? Please add a toggle to make the option “Send as attachment” default. Thank you!
