Visitor Aware Check-In Kiosk
Streamlined visitor management
Free
Visitor Aware is a visitor management application that improves security protocols as well as the overall time needed to check visitors in and out of privileged access locations such as schools, offices, and assisted living facilities with no receptionist required!
IMMEDIATE SIGN IN
Government-issued identification cards and photos are captured in real-time (no additional hardware required), ensuring that staff have the most up-to-date visitor information and can immediately identify visitors.
Repeat visitors may simply check-in by indicating their destination and taking a photo of themselves, our system takes care of the matching and identification.
IDENTIFICATION BADGES
Visitor badges can be automatically printed at successful check-in in order to provide staff with immediate identification of visitors as well as their intended destination.
STUDENT/RESIDENT SIGN OUT
Visitor Aware can also be used to check residents and/or students out of locations through the "Sign Out" feature; ensuring that all relevant information is collected and that students/residents are accounted for, and securely tracked.
WEB MANAGED
The application software works in conjunction with the web dashboard to compile a logbook of all relevant visitor information including dates, times, and destinations. Visitors may be also assigned to customized visitor types for faster filtering and searching.
VISITOR SCREENING
If enabled through the web dashboard, visitors can automatically be screened at check-in with national sex offender registries (US Only), as well as US and International watchlists. Matches on screening lists prompt the visitor to contact a staff member, and automatically notify office personnel of potential threats immediately via SMS and Email notifications.
WATCHLISTS AND BANNED VISITORS
Unwanted visitors may be manually banned and attempts to check in automatically notify office personnel of an access attempt immediately.
This application requires a Visitor Aware account. For more detailed information, please visit Singlewire's Visitor Aware page.

Version 1.2.9 introduces new features, improvements, and bug fixes for the Visitor Aware iOS Check-In Kiosk.
What's New: Remote Badge Printing
You can now print visitor badges directly from the Visitors table in the web application by connecting to a mobile device on your network running the kiosk app. Simply select an available device to print from — no need to be at the kiosk itself. Note that available print devices are automatically removed when you switch locations or log out. If a device is locked or the app is closed without logging out, the device may still appear available in the web app but printing will not complete successfully in those cases.
Improvements and Bug Fixes:
- The Generate Test Print function has been updated to produce a more accurate sample visitor badge, better reflecting the current badge design.
- Back and Exit navigation buttons throughout the kiosk app now display in the visitor's selected language, ensuring a consistent localized experience from start to finish.
- To prevent the device from auto-locking on a settings screen, the app will now automatically redirect to the home screen after 60 seconds of inactivity while any settings menu is open.
- Clients with multiple locations can now customize and require visitors to review and sign location-specific Terms and Conditions during the check-in process.
- Resolved an issue where visitors checking out using their QR code would trigger multiple checkout notification emails for a single checkout event.

What’s New in Version 1.2.8
This release introduces a new facial recognition option for guardians using the check-in kiosk, along with performance improvements, usability enhancements, and important bug fixes.

This feature is especially important for organizations in states that require explicit consent for the use of facial recognition technology.
- Face detection has been optimized on the Take Photo and Departing with Student screens to improve accuracy and performance during the check-in process.
- The “No Access to Camera” screen has been updated to include Back and Exit options, making it easier for users to navigate when camera permissions are unavailable.
- The kiosk app now respects the iPad’s automatic lock settings instead of using its own configuration, ensuring more consistent device behavior.
- An issue was fixed where the camera was not properly releasing after a session timed out. This could previously prevent the iPad from auto-locking.
- Attendance tracking has been improved to include entrance information when checking in, supporting more accurate InformaCast notifications.
