Long-distance routes now build cleanly across the UK, Greece, the Nordics, the Baltics, and southeast Europe, and rural routes in Finland no longer take needless detours around quiet, unmarked roads. • Moped routing in the UK. Where the law allows it, routes now treat A-roads like any other road, with a new setting to keep strictly off them if you prefer. • Better scenic loops. Round-trip routes stay direct instead of doubling back near main roads. • Accessibility. VoiceOver now announces the on-map navigation buttons by name. • Refinements. This update makes your routes more direct and your on-screen info more accurate: • Straighter city routes. We've stopped sending you the long way round cobbled and brick streets. They're ordinary roads, so we now route over them like any other. Avoiding rough surfaces is something you switch on when you want it, not off. • Live traffic as a clean line. Congestion now shows as a smooth orange line along your route instead of a row of dots, so the slow stretches are obvious at a glance. • Accurate weather. Temperature now shows in your local units (°C in the UK), and sunrise and sunset times are correct for your location. • Share cards that fit. New: Bike Types Choose the bike that matches how you ride, and your routes adapt to suit. - City: smooth roads and cycle paths for everyday trips - Road: fast tarmac, skips the cycle paths and rough surfaces - Mountain: seeks out tracks, trails and gravel, and takes on the climbs We've also improved routing on hilly terrain, so you're no longer sent the long way round a short, steep stretch. - Ride around traffic and closures. New Avoid Heavy Traffic and Avoid Road Closures options use live data to steer you past jams and blocked roads. Both are off by default, so switch them on in Settings whenever you want them. - A clearer view of the road ahead. The map now eases out as you pick up speed so junctions and exits show up in time, tuned to each vehicle type. You can also pan and zoom the map freely while riding; it slides back to follow you a few seconds after you let go. - Share any route. Open a route, or a round trip, in Google Maps or Apple Maps, or export it as a GPX file. - Plus polish across the route panel and a batch of routing fixes under the bonnet. Fastest mode now takes the most direct legal route. When you choose Fastest, your ride sticks to the quickest legal roads instead of detouring around main roads just because they carry faster traffic. You still stay off motorways and any road your vehicle isn't allowed on. Ideal for the days when getting there quickly matters most.
