SWAtlas - Shortwave Explorer
Radio Recorder, STT & Decoders
USD 9.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
A smart guide to shortwave radio worldwide. Search Aoki and Eibi data at once, quickly check frequencies and station details, and explore global broadcasts with ease.
This app is for exploring broadcast information, not for playing shortwave radio.
SWAtlas is designed to make worldwide shortwave radio broadcast information easy and fast to search.
Simply enter a frequency or station name to instantly view related broadcast details.
The main database includes Aoki data and Eibi data.
Instead of manually browsing complex shortwave radio data files, SWAtlas presents the information you need in a clean and easy-to-read interface.
It is simple enough for beginners to use, while also being a practical tool for experienced listeners who want to quickly find and log broadcasts.
Because the app runs on a stored database, basic search and browsing are available even when internet access is limited.
It also automatically applies the latest database updates, making it even more convenient to use.
SWAtlas also includes smart signal tools that run entirely on-device. Radiofax converts Weatherfax audio into images, while Morse and RTTY convert signals into real-time text. The decoders detect signal characteristics and adapt to reception conditions. After downloading the transcription and translation models, Whisper automatically detects speech received through the microphone, transcribes it, and translates the text into a language chosen by the user. Once the models are installed, the feature works offline.
Smart Radio Recorder records radio or voice with noise reduction and shares recordings with Whisper for transcription. Space Weather shows NOAA data, while the WEFAX schedule helps time Radio Fax reception.
