Sudoku Book Generator builds the interior PDF for a printed sudoku book. You choose the page size, how many puzzles print on a page, and what goes in the front matter. The app generates the puzzles, lays out every page, and writes one print-ready PDF you can upload to a print-on-demand service.
Every puzzle has exactly one solution and is reachable by logic alone. Guessing is never required.
WHAT YOU SET
Page size. Sixteen standard paperback trim sizes, from 5 x 8 in to 8.27 x 11.69 in.
Margins. Balanced margins hold the inside edge above the printer's minimum for your page count and match the outside edge to it, so the text block sits centred on the trimmed page. The inside minimum rises with page count, and the app follows it for you. Set every margin by hand instead if you prefer.
Density. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 12 puzzles a page. One or two a page gives a large-print book. Twelve gives a compact one.
Difficulty. Easy, medium, hard and very hard, each with its own puzzle count and its own titled section.
Front matter. Title page, copyright page, a how-to-play page, and an author's note written in your own words.
Ornaments. Twenty-five small line-art marks for headings and divider pages, or none at all.
Typography. Pick the text and digit faces from the licence-safe families installed on your Mac. Inter is bundled, so there is always one that may legally be embedded in a book you sell. Set the puzzle label and page number sizes to the point.
WHAT COMES OUT
One PDF at your chosen trim, with fonts embedded so it prints the same anywhere. Solutions print at the back, up to twelve to a page. Sections can open on a right-hand page the way chapters do in a printed book. Page numbers, padding to an even page count, and section dividers are each yours to switch on or off.
Difficulty is measured, not assumed. Every puzzle is solved by a technique-tracking solver before it goes in the book, so a hard puzzle is one that genuinely needs the harder techniques rather than one that simply starts with fewer numbers.
No puzzle repeats inside a book. Puzzles are also checked against every book you have already made, including rotated and relabelled versions of a grid you have used before, so two of your own titles will not quietly share a puzzle.
Every setting is explained where it sits. Tap the question mark beside a control to read what it does and what it costs you in pages.
FREE AND PAID
The free app is the whole app. Every setting works and the PDF it exports is a real one you can upload.
Two limits apply until you unlock it:
Up to 15 puzzles per difficulty. That is 60 puzzles, roughly 26 pages, which is enough to take a real book all the way through a printer's review and hold the proof in your hands.

One purchase lifts both, permanently. Up to 1000 puzzles per difficulty every time you generate, and exports with nothing printed over them. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel. If you have bought it before, on this Mac or another one, Restore brings it back at no charge.
PRIVACY
The app works offline and collects nothing. Your titles, your author's note and your books never leave your Mac. There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics.
