Rivea Run
Run, train, track and coach
Free
Live tracking for the 2026 running season: Berlin Marathon in September, Hella Half Marathon & every run. Family and friends watch live in the browser — no app.
Marathon Guide is your companion for Hamburg's 2026 running season — and every training run in between.
— How it works
1. Create a session in the app — race or training.
2. Share a link with your family and friends.
3. They watch live in any browser. No app required. No signup.
While you run, voice messages from home play on your phone. Reactions arrive in real time. Your Apple Watch shows who's there with you.

— Training year-round —
Marathon Guide isn't just for race days.
Every long Sunday run can be shared live. Tempo sessions, warm-weather training camps, your first 30K before the marathon — your family can be there, wherever they are.
Voice messages and reactions work for every training run. What proves itself on race day proves itself in everyday training.
— What stays after the run —
Every session gets a permanent Memory Page with all voice messages, reactions, photos, and statistics. A digital keepsake you can share — with parents, friends, yourself in five years.
— What's coming next —
Marathon Guide is built in the open. What we're building, what comes next, and what you can request: rivea.run/roadmap
— Requirements —

more Small release, smoother everyday
Tap the "Last run" card on your training home and the run opens — full detail, media and coach insights included.
"What's new" now really is new: it only appears when there is something fresh for your version, swiping it away counts as read, and its entries come straight from each release.
1.17.0 1 day ago
Your avatar, the way you want it
The cut-out avatar now fills the card by default instead of sitting in a corner — sized to your photo automatically. Move it anywhere, and set its size with the buttons or two fingers. Position and size are remembered per run.
Monotony, at a glance
The training load card now shows how varied your week was as a band — varied, usual, flat — instead of a bare number. The separate strain tile is gone: it was just weekly load times monotony, two numbers already on the card.
Fixes
Dragging your photo into place no longer jumps to a different photo. And a run you set to "only me" now disappears from your public archive and link previews too, not just from its own page.
1.15.0 2 days ago
Run setup: now two tabs
Setup holds everything you configure — visibility, challenge, time window, tracking, heart rate. Start holds what you share with your followers, plus the start button.
The challenge gets its own window
Goal distance on a slider, start on a date and time wheel. Nothing on this screen is typed any more.
Your map is back in Apple Health
The route your iPhone records during watch runs is attached to the workout again. In three situations it used to be dropped without a word.
Also: km laps in Apple Fitness are now marked as beta.
1.13.0 21 Aug
This update makes run tracking a lot more resilient:
• If the watch stops responding mid-run, your iPhone now takes over tracking and lets you know — runs no longer end silently or lose their second half.
• A run that ended but never made it into Apple Health is rescued the next time you open the watch app, and you're notified right away if a workout wasn't saved.
• Restarting after a crash starts a clean new session — the interrupted attempt is kept as its own run.
• Dictating your training note now keeps every sentence, even when you pause between them.
• New in session settings: kilometre laps for Apple Fitness (off by default for now).
• Heart rate, coach insights and your pre-run note on your public runner page are now visible to approved followers only by default. Sharing settings let you open them up any time.
1.10.2 9 Aug
Effort now reaches Apple Health
Your rating from the post-run check-in is now written to the workout as Effort and shows up in the Fitness app right on the run. It still arrives even when a watch-recorded workout takes minutes to reach your iPhone. Skip the check-in and the field stays empty.
Per-kilometre laps in the Fitness app
Runs now show a lap table with distance, time and pace for every kilometre. Pauses are handled properly: stop at a traffic light and the kilometre is split right there, instead of one meaningless 17-minute kilometre. Brief stops under 20 seconds stay part of the running stretch.
GPS routes on Apple Watch runs
Runs recorded on the Watch were missing their map in the Fitness app. The route is now attached reliably. Older runs cannot be repaired after the fact — their GPS points remain fully intact inside Rivea.
Cleaner tracks, no stray points
Stray GPS fixes that shoot off the route and snap back are now filtered out. This was never just a cosmetic problem: the recorded distance was affected too, and is now more accurate.
Post-run check-in after races
Races were missing the check-in on the finish screen. Now every run gets one.
Kilometre marks survive interruptions
If watchOS suspended the app mid-run, every kilometre mark set until then was lost. That no longer happens.
Also fixed: the German wording of the Health permission prompts.

- Splash screen: more robust layout across devices; invisible whitespace from remote config is trimmed automatically.
Bugfix:
- Watch run-tracking now survives long pauses — the session is restored automatically when the app re-opens.
- The iPhone no longer immediately ends a paused watch session if the watch briefly suspends (8 s grace window).
- The long-pause warning on the watch now fires after 9 min instead of as a confusing "Extended Runtime expired" message.

Channel Detail screen — Tap your channel summary to view its live status (Dormant / Prepared / Live / Recently Ended), unique visitors, and subscribers, with a three-tip carousel for sharing your channel.
- Redesigned Profile screen — Refreshed Rivea Run identity surface with avatar (tap to replace), role-colored stroke, social handles (Instagram, TikTok, Slug), edit-in-place rows, and a copy-to-clipboard slug.
Feature tips carousel — Reusable auto-rotating tips (5s rotation, pauses on swipe, respects reduced motion) on the session type picker and channel detail screens.
- Full German localization — Live run tracker, session type picker, settings sheet, training/race setup, slug onboarding, sharing step, and video feed are now fully localized in German and English.
- Channel visitor count now shows lifetime unique visitors instead of the 30-day window.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed inverted German/English translations — The English UI was showing German strings and vice versa for ~150 keys (Profile, WhatsNew, EventView, SplashView, Feedback, TravelView, etc.). Apple's standard convention is now restored.
- Fixed missing translations on the You tab and Channel Detail screen — 54 keys were rendering as raw identifiers (e.g. YouTab.Title) instead of localized text.
- Fixed crash when loading sessions — Sessions containing date or timestamp fields no longer trigger a hard crash; corrupt/test sessions are now silently filtered.
- Fixed Prepared status always showing "Delayed" — Training sessions now correctly show "Ready" when the event is not in the future.
- Fixed proper nouns in TravelView — "HVV" and "MOIA" are no longer mislabeled as "Info" in the German version.
1.6.2 7 May
Feature:
- Brand-new onboarding flow — guided 12-step setup walks you through nickname, birthday, photo, social handles and your runner slug. Skip steps and come back to them later.
- Smarter feature gating — tapping a locked feature now drops you back into onboarding exactly where you left off, instead of starting over.
Bufix::
- Fixed an issue where a finished run could reappear in the run tracker days later when reopening the app.
- Improved Apple Watch handoff — runs you finish on the watch are now reliably marked done on the phone, even after a force-quit.
- Stale "active" sessions older than 24 hours are now cleaned up automatically on app start, so you always land on a fresh session picker.

- In Apple Watch mode, spectator reactions and voice messages are now reliably delivered to your watch, even when the screen is off.

Bugfix:
Fixed a race condition that could prevent a run from being marked as finished in the backend when stopping from the Apple Watch.

Improved cold-launch recovery — if the iPhone app is restarted while a watch workout is active, the session reconnects automatically.
