The screen that explains why this app needs the camera now says "Continue" instead of "Allow". Small wording, real difference: iOS asks for the permission itself, in its own dialog, and that is where the choice belongs. A button of ours saying "Allow" made it look like the decision was already made — so people stopped reading the one screen that matters. Nothing about what the app does with the camera has changed.

Getting around is easier now. • Swipe from the left edge to go back, the way iPhone does everywhere else • Info and settings panels always close, even at large text sizes

Name cards and calendar codes are now read properly. Scan a contact QR — the kind this app can also create — and you get the name, phone, email and organisation laid out, instead of the raw MECARD text. Calendar codes show the title, time and place. Both MECARD and vCard are supported, so cards made in other apps work too. Nothing is saved to your Contacts or Calendar: this app asks for no such permission and never will. The details are shown, and one tap copies them.

Search your scan history. • Type part of a link, a host or a note and find the scan again — the log is finally something you can go back into, not just a list that grows. • Wi-Fi rows stay safe: you can search a network name, but never a saved password. Typing one finds nothing, on purpose. Still zero network, still no ads, still nothing uploaded.

• A clear way out after every scan — a Scan next code button, plus a close control that is always on screen. • Scanning no longer bounces the result back at you when the same code is still in view. • New: links that imitate a well-known site (paypa1-verify.com and the like) are now flagged before anything opens. The check runs entirely on your phone. • Arabic is now listed and used for system prompts. • The Create tab now shows the text field straight away instead of a full-screen empty card.

Arabic is now supported, with full right-to-left layout. This one came from a user request — thank you. If something in your language looks wrong, tell us from the "Built with you" card and we read every message.

• Scan from a photo — pick a screenshot or a saved picture and the code inside it is read for you. Decoding happens on your device, and it works even when the camera isn't available. • Templates in the maker — besides plain text you can now build Wi-Fi, contact, email and phone codes. • Faster start — nothing is read from storage before the first screen is drawn, so the app is there right away. • An OFFLINE badge on the viewfinder and a trust line in your history make it visible that nothing leaves this phone. • Fixed: if writing to the history failed once, every later scan was silently ignored. The safety verdict now always appears. • Fixed: the photo-access permission text is now written in every supported language. No subscription. No ads. No tracking. Still works in airplane mode.

New: on-device link preview highlights the real domain and flags risky (punycode/lookalike) links — nothing leaves your phone.
