PhotoRex is the fast, non-destructive way to fix dates and organize your photos and videos in bulk. Wrong timestamps from scans, downloads, or messaging apps? Names that won't sort? Metadata you'd rather not share? PhotoRex fixes it all — and never changes your originals. Every edit is applied to fresh copies when you export.
Fix dates, your way
• Set an exact date and time across a whole selection
• Pull dates straight from filenames with flexible patterns (auto-detect included)
• Read visible timestamps out of screenshots with on-device OCR
• Restore dates from a file's own creation/modification time
• Shift by a fixed offset, spread files evenly apart, or convert between time zones with daylight-saving handling
Rename in bulk
• By date, by sequential counter, or with custom templates using {name}, {date}, and {counter} tokens
• Add prefixes and suffixes, preview every result before applying
Watermark photos and videos
• Custom text, the photo's date, or your own logo image
• Choose position and size; pick a logo from Photos or Files
Convert, resize & compress
• Convert between PNG, JPG, and HEIC
• Cap image dimensions and set JPEG quality to shrink files for email or upload
Protect your privacy
• Remove GPS location, or strip all EXIF and device metadata before sharing
Export with control
• Save to the Files app or straight to your Photo Library (iPhone & iPad)
• Auto-organize exports into dated folders (Year / Month / Day)
