A reliability release. Everything here fixes a way the task list could show the wrong work, and every issue below was reported from the field.
## Completed tasks no longer stay on the list
- **Pull-to-refresh now clears work that's already done.** Previously, pulling down asked the server only for changes since the last sync, so a task closed earlier than that could never be removed from the screen no matter how many times you pulled. Only force-quitting the app cleared it. A manual pull, or tapping a retry button, now fetches the site's current state and applies it.
- Pulling to refresh no longer occasionally removes tasks that are genuinely still open.
- Refreshing now works even when part of the sync fails, which is exactly when the list is most likely to be out of date.
- Fixed a case where a task closed on the device could be blocked from ever coming back, even if it was later reopened on the server.
## Tasks not appearing at all
- **Fixed devices getting permanently stuck showing an old snapshot of their site.** Affected devices kept displaying task data from a previous day while reporting every sync as successful. One operative lost a full day this way: 69 tasks assigned to them that morning never appeared on the device and all expired as Missed. The app now goes back to the server whenever its live updates have stopped keeping the list current.
- Fixed the hidden-task list growing without limit over time, which could permanently block tasks from reappearing and slowly grew the app's stored data.
## Offline completions
- **Fixed a task you completed offline reappearing as open.** If the app was closed at the wrong moment during startup, it could lose the record that a completion had already been sent and put the task back on the operative's list. This was the last common path for a symptom first reported in July, and the earlier fix in 2.9.2 is confirmed to be recovering real work in production.
## Task creation
- The confirmation message after creating a task now appears. It was silently failing to show, leaving no feedback that the task had been created.
## Behind the scenes
- The app now reports its version to the backend with every request, including for work that was queued offline and sent later. This makes it possible to attribute a problem to a specific app release instead of guessing. No visible change in the app.
