It is said that most people find food tasty when the salinity is between 0.6% and 0.8%. (This seems to be because the salt concentration is close to that of human body fluids.)
If you only use salt for seasoning, you can find the right amount of salt by calculating "total weight x 0.008".
However, in cooking, we use not only salt, but also soy sauce, miso, and other seasonings with different salt concentrations, and sometimes a combination of them, making it time-consuming to calculate the amount of seasoning that will result in a salt concentration of 0.6% to 0.8%.
oishio is an app that solves this problem.
