A rebuilt engine, a real before-and-after view, and Megapix in eight languages. BIGGER UPSCALES THAT ACTUALLY FINISH • The processing engine has been rebuilt from the ground up. It now streams the image through memory instead of holding all of it at once, so large 4x and 8x jobs complete on devices that used to run out of room mid-way. And when a photo really is too big for your device, Megapix offers to render it at the largest size your device can handle instead of simply refusing. VISIBLY CLEANER RESULTS • We tracked down a flaw in how the AI's tiles were blended together: a soft, ghosted band could appear along the right and bottom edge of every enhanced image. It is gone. Edges are sharper too, because the model now sees real image context at the frame border instead of a hard cut, which removes the halos and ringing that could show up around the sides of a photo. TRUE COLOUR, FULL METADATA • Display P3 photos keep their colour instead of being flattened on the way in. • Exports now carry the original EXIF, capture date, location, lens information, DPI and colour profile, so an enhanced file is a drop-in replacement for the original. • Transparent PNGs saved as JPEG are placed on white, not black. A BEFORE AND AFTER VIEW WORTH USING • Pan while zoomed in. Jump to 1:1 to inspect real pixels. Switch between a split slider and side-by-side. Read the exact zoom level as you go. On Mac you can zoom with Command-plus, Command-minus and Command-0, so you no longer need a trackpad. Your result now appears directly in the workspace with the input and output size, and you can press and hold to peek at the original. AUTO MODE NOW WORKS ON IPHONE • Auto analyses your photo on device, picks the right mode for it, and tells you what it found: portrait, illustration or document. Previously this was Mac only. YOUR RESULTS ARE KEPT • The Library now stores your enhancements at full resolution. Save, share or reveal them whenever you like, not only in the moment they finish. NOW IN EIGHT LANGUAGES • English, Ukrainian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, etc. SMOOTHER THROUGHOUT • The interface stays responsive while an image is being enhanced. On iPhone the screen no longer sleeps in the middle of a job, and the app keeps working when you switch away. Batch processing uses a fraction of the memory it used to. As always, everything runs entirely on your device. No uploads. No account. Your photos never leave your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
