Voice profiles let the app recognise a speaker it has met before and name them for you. A REAL PLAYER Playback speed, skip forward and back, and chapters that jump to the moment a topic starts. EXPORT THE WHOLE LIBRARY Export a project, your entire library, or a Markdown vault for other note apps. Exports can carry real timestamps, and subtitle files (SRT and VTT) are built from actual timings rather than an estimate. BUSINESS CARDS BECOME CONTACTS Photograph a card and add it straight to Contacts, or share it as a contact file. BETTER ANSWERS Answers cite their sources on every AI tier now, not only Apple Intelligence. A question asked in one language finds answers written in another, and long documents summarise properly instead of stopping short. TURN AUTOMATIC SUMMARIES OFF A new switch stops summaries being created automatically. Generating one by hand still works. CLEARER TRANSCRIPTS Fixed several causes of corrupted transcripts: words run together in live captions, the closing words of a recording dropped, and speech lost between the sections of a long recording. ALSO FIXED Siri speaks an answer once instead of twice. Long recordings keep their audio and their speaker labels all the way to the end. The Privacy and Terms links open again. Everything still runs on your device.

A BETTER ON-DEVICE MODEL FOR YOUR DEVICE Inscribe used to offer everyone the same small on-device model. Now it looks at what your iPhone, iPad or Mac can actually hold and offers the best model it runs comfortably — so more capable devices get noticeably better summaries and action items. Models your device cannot run are no longer offered at all, and setup now shows the real download size before you start. Also fixed: Generate Summary did nothing on an imported photo.

Interrupted recordings now survive: • A call, Siri or an alarm no longer costs you your recording. Inscribe tells you the microphone was taken, stops the timer, and carries on in the same recording the moment the microphone is free. • If you stop while it is still interrupted, everything captured before the interruption is saved — transcript and audio — instead of an empty note. • Long recordings that were interrupted could previously save with no audio at all. They don't any more. Summaries: • If your device can't create summaries yet, Inscribe now tells you from your library as well, not only inside a note. If you share things into Inscribe without opening them, this is the message you never saw. Also: improvements to how and when Inscribe asks for your feedback.

Recording you can trust: • Recordings in languages that use the built-in recognizer now save their audio properly — so playback, Follow Along, audio export and recovery all work for them too. • A recording interrupted by a call, a crash or a low-memory shutdown is handed back to you the next time you open the app. • Fewer duplicate recovered notes after a very long recording. Share a link from Safari, tap Add Link and paste, or paste a copied link straight into the library. Everything is still processed on your device. SELECT MULTIPLE NOTES Tap Select to pick several notes at once, then delete, tag, pin, or file them into a project in one go — instead of one at a time. Image Understanding — Inscribe can see your photos now Turn on the optional image-understanding model and imported photos get a real description of what is actually in them, instead of a list of detected subjects. It downloads only if you ask for it, and it runs on your device like everything else. Text in images is read either way. A better transcription model Parakeet replaces the Whisper models Inscribe used to offer. In our published English benchmark it was more accurate than every Whisper model we shipped, and it takes less space than Whisper Small did. If you had Whisper models downloaded, this update reclaims that storage for you automatically.
