Fixed a bug where searching for a receipt that did not exist left you stuck, with no way to clear the search short of restarting the app. Thanks to the person who reported it.

What's New for the listing: Two fixes, both from user reports. Receipts bought on the same day now stay in a stable order. They were being sorted by a time of day the app stored but never showed you, so two receipts from one day could appear either way round. Shop names on the receipt list get their space back. Longer names were being cut short much earlier than they needed to be.

A receipt can now come from a link. Paste the address of a PDF or an image, tap fetch, and Kept files it against the receipt and remembers where it came from. Useful if your documents already live on a server of your own. Two receipts bought on the same day now keep a steady order instead of swapping around.

Most of this came from people who wrote in. PDFs are receipts too. Attach one from Files, and if it runs to several pages you choose which ones to keep. An invoice usually has one sheet that matters, and it is rarely page one. Every receipt now shows the date you bought it, next to the store. The year appears only when it is not the current one. Your own categories can be renamed or removed, and you can change their icons. Deleting a category never deletes receipts, they just go back to their built-in category. The iCloud setting explains itself. It tells you when you are not signed in, and that it needs turning on for each device you want a copy on. Also added a books icon, since someone asked.

Every change here came from someone asking for it. Scan instead of photograph. The camera now uses a real document scanner. It finds the edges, straightens the page, and cleans it up, so a receipt looks like a receipt and not a snapshot of your kitchen table. Read the receipt again. Tap any photo to open it full screen and pinch to zoom in on the fine print. Photos are also kept at higher resolution now, so the small numbers stay readable when you need them most. Log a price in any currency. Kept understands 159 of them, so it works whether you spend in dollars, rupees, or pesos. Sort your receipts by month. A new sort control groups them by when you added them, so finding what you logged in June takes one tap instead of a scroll. Back up with iCloud, if you want it. It is off by default and your receipts stay on your phone either way. Turn it on in Settings and your proof survives losing the phone. The Rate Kept button opens the App Store properly now.

Kept now keeps more than receipts. PAPERS. File your passport, driver's license, registration, insurance and IDs next to your receipts. Reminders match the document: slow renewals get a 90-day lead, everything else gets 30 and 7. UPCOMING. A new tab lays the next 90 days on one line. Everything that expires or renews, in order, with the quiet stretches named. Auto-renewing subscriptions get a heads up before they bill, so you decide before they do. MARK RENEWED. One tap rolls the expiry forward a full period and stamps the record. ON iPAD. Kept is now native on iPad. The home screen widget now shows what's coming, and app updates are gentler on your saved records.
