more Circuits, finally done right.
Group your movements and GetTo now treats the block as rounds. Every checkmark walks you to the next exercise, and rest fires once — when the lap closes, not after every single set. Your post reads "Circuit · 8 movements × 3 rounds".
Also in this update:
One dumbbell? Say so. A new "One DB" weight mode logs goblet squats, single-arm work and weighted sit-ups honestly, instead of making you double a number that was never doubled.
Rest alerts that actually reach you. Turn on a chime, a buzz, or both — and if your phone is locked or in your pocket, GetTo taps you when the rest is up.
Live workouts that stay live. Friends training now no longer flicker on and off while their phone sleeps, set counts are accurate, and a cheer is once per session.
Daily Steps Moments count with you. A shared Moment keeps climbing instead of freezing the number you had when you posted it.
Messages grew up. Send photos, tag people by name and tap through to their profile, and watch replies arrive without leaving the thread.
Reorder without the accidents. Picking an exercise up now takes a press and hold, so scrolling is just scrolling.
Fewer permission pop-ups. Apple Health is only ever asked for when you tap to connect it.
Plus: your muscle map has a figure you can switch, ratings clear when a set stops being a working set, and creator covers keep their own shape.
1.1.5 14 Aug
• Get To is now on Apple Watch: complete sets from your wrist, adjust weight with the crown, and see your rest timer, heart rate, and next set at a glance
• Your finished workouts count toward your Activity rings, and heart-rate zones appear on your posts automatically
• Start your scheduled workout right from the watch — or from the new Today card on your home feed
• Add Get To to your watch face to see your next scheduled session
• Your daily steps can count themselves toward step challenges, with a new steps card on your profile
• A song you add to a workout can now play with your video, and your scorecards show the track
• Plus dark mode polish and plenty of refinements
1.1.4 11 Aug
• Connect with your coach the moment you join — pick your creator during setup and their program is waiting for you
• Your first session is a gift: choose what you're training next and get a full day from your creator's program, free
• Smoother posting: fixed a hiccup where the Health permission prompt could get stuck behind the keyboard
• Plus faster onboarding, clearer subscription management, and plenty of polish
1.1.3 4 Aug
Meet creators on Get To
• Follow real coaches and athletes — creator programs, communities, and the CREATOR badge so you know who's legit
• Invited by a coach? Enter their handle during signup and you're instantly connected — you follow each other and their training shows up in your feed
• Train like Arnold: three authentic golden-era programs with step-by-step guides — the first day of every program is free to try
• Smarter exercise tracking: SSB, trap, EZ and Swiss bar variants now read correctly however you name them
• Clearer error messages and dozens of polish fixes
1.1.2 29 Jul
This one’s all polish — dozens of fixes that make every session feel right.
New in 1.1.1:
- Find your people — follow suggested athletes during onboarding, and follow anyone right from the feed
- Your streak travels with you — train across time zones without ever losing a day
- Frame it your way — crop and zoom your profile photo when you upload it
- Walks, hikes, and runs tracked on your phone now show their route map on your workout card
- Smarter consistency tracking — every kind of training counts, and no more phantom “missed days”
- Editing a workout no longer touches its song, heart-rate data, or photo framing
- Sharper share cards, a muscle map that always keeps up, and steadier workout timers
- Tap the status bar to jump right back to the top
1.1.1 21 Jul
This update makes Get To feel more polished everywhere — plus a few things you've been asking for.
New in 1.1.0:
• Dark Mode — choose Light, Dark, or match your phone (Settings → Appearance)
• More reliable push notifications, delivered smarter and quieter — and tap a like or comment to land right on it
• A smarter Momentum score that rewards showing up consistently
• Wearable workout cards leveled up for every brand — Garmin, Whoop, Oura, Apple Watch, Polar, Wahoo, Fitbit — with cleaner, more accurate stats
• Trim, split, or reframe long videos right inside the app so they fit the feed perfectly
• Sharper, faster-loading photos and full-bleed media — no more black bars
• A more premium profile: gym-buddy accountability, all-time rival records, and week-over-week progress
• Dozens of reliability and polish fixes across logging, feed, and sharing
1.1.0 16 Jul
- Shareable workout cards: expanded editor for the user's OWN social sharing — layout templates, color/font themes, transparent "sticker" export, one-tap share to Instagram Stories, and an optional animated video version. All user-initiated; shares only the user's own workout data + any photo/video they choose.
- New-user onboarding now requires completing a short profile (photo, name, goal, body weight) before using social features — an anti-abuse measure; collected in a ~1-minute guided flow.
- Connected devices (Garmin, Oura, Fitbit, Polar, Wahoo via our aggregator Terra) are easier to find and review; nothing posts automatically — the user reviews every imported workout. Google and Hevy were removed from the list this release.
- Upload-your-own training program: improved parsing accuracy for exercise names and set/rep/weight prescriptions.
- An in-app update notice can prompt the user to install the latest version from the App Store (standard version-gate; links to our own App Store listing).
- Assorted fixes.
1.0.9 8 Jul
What's new in 1.0.8
- Wearables: connect Garmin, Google, Oura, Fitbit, Polar, Wahoo and Hevy — workouts sync in for the user to review and post.
- Sign in with Apple + Sign in with Google (alongside the existing email code sign-in).
- Training programs: browse curated programs, ratings & reviews, share links, and upload your own program (photo/PDF/CSV) to schedule it.
- Live workout logger improvements: session timer with optional countdown, one-tap round repeat for CrossFit-style workouts, confirmation before discarding a draft.
- Redesigned onboarding with a step-by-step guided setup.
- Community challenges: ready-made "Start the WOD" sessions inside challenges, with leaderboards and completion badges.
1.0.8 7 Jul
Type-, focus-, equipment-aware AI workouts
Suggested + Inspired AI now understand **CrossFit / cardio / hybrid block** sessions (not just flat lifts) and produce **equipment-feasible** results
- Removed the web "Add to Home Screen" PWA prompt (the App Store is the distribution target).
- App + GTFLiveActivity extension versioned to **1.0.7 (1)**.
1.0.7 28 May
> GetTo 1.0.6 — the premium feel release.
Native-feel everywhere**: Every tap fires haptic feedback. Every modal dismiss is a generous 44×44 hit area. Every detail page slides in from the right and supports left-edge swipe-back — the way iOS is meant to feel.
iOS-native gestures**: Swipe from the left edge of any community, challenge, profile, or workout page to navigate back. Tap the status bar to instantly scroll to the top of any feed.
Polished loading + empty states**: Replaced spinners with shape skeletons that match the final layout — you see where content will land before it loads. Standardized empty states across every "no data yet" surface so the app feels alive instead of broken.
7 critical fixes from your feedback**: Edit-workout duplicate-exercise bug squashed (with cleanup of affected workouts). Performance summary AI cache bug fixed. Video upload sped up dramatically (~5× faster on multi-video posts via native AVAssetWriter at 4 Mbps + concurrent upload). Scorecard whiteout-to-home crash eliminated by removing the live video element from the editor (use the new ▶ Preview button to verify your video before exporting). Bottom nav scroll-to-top, back-button reliability, and shared-link App Store routing all fixed.
Same app you love. Now feels like the app you've always wanted it to feel like.
1.0.6 25 May
v1.0.5 — Smoother, faster, more social.
- Communities
Train with your gym group, your buddies, or your favorite trainer's community. Owners can post announcements (everyone gets a notification), and members see everyone's workouts in one place.
- Challenges
Compete on community leaderboards. Earn badges for completing challenges — and yes, they stay on your profile forever. New 'Different Workout Days' challenge type makes daily streak goals impossible to game.
Faster than v1.0.4
Major performance work across the app. Detail pages render instantly, the feed paints from cache on app open, taps feel responsive again across communities and sponsors.
Fixes
- The performance summary modal no longer keeps popping up after dismissal
- Invite links no longer leave you stranded on a white screen
- Multi-tap-required bugs across community and sponsor pages
- Plus a long list of smaller bug fixes from v1.0.4 testing
Thanks for the feedback — keep it coming.
1.0.5 15 May
GetTo 1.0.4 — the moment fitness gets a soul.
**Brand-new Challenges experience** — Discover challenges from your favorite gyms and creators, complete real fitness goals, and unlock rewards (discount codes, partner credits) when you cross the finish line. Earn a custom completion badge for every challenge — they live forever in your trophy case.
**Communities + Sponsors** — Local gyms, online crews, and workplace groups can run their own communities and host sponsored challenges. Discover and search them alphabetically, and tap into your favorite gym's sponsor profile to see every challenge they're running. Community owners can delegate management to their staff with the new Managers role.
**Compete or collaborate** — Every challenge runs in one of two modes. Competitive: leaderboard, top performer wins. Collective: one shared community goal, everybody contributes. Pick your style. Tap any challenge’s athlete pile to open the full leaderboard with Overall and Following views.
**Public or private** — Open to anyone with the link, or private with owner approval. You’re in control of who joins.
**Apple Watch + HealthKit, now native** — Your Watch workouts auto-attach to GTF when you save — heart rate, active calories, and duration pulled straight from the Health app. Body weight syncs in too: log it once on your Watch or scale, see it everywhere. Pick a specific Watch workout to attach from the edit modal, or flip on auto-import in Settings and never think about it again.
**Track effort your way — RPE or RIR** — When you mark a working set, pick the scale you think in: RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion, 6–10) or RIR (Reps in Reserve, 0–4). Both measure the same thing. The chip on each set displays exactly what you entered, no mental math.
**Muscle map now lights up for cardio too** — Walks, runs, rides, rows, stair workouts — your scorecard's Muscles Worked widget now highlights what each cardio session actually trains, with consensus exercise-science mappings for every common modality.
**Native iOS feel everywhere** — Every tap fires haptic feedback. Every modal dismiss is a generous 44×44 hit area. Every detail page slides in from the right and supports left-edge swipe-back. Tap the status bar to scroll any feed to the top. External links (songs, gym websites, social profiles, partner offers) now open inside the app instead of bouncing you to Safari — tap Done to land back exactly where you left.
**Faster + more reliable** — Video uploads now work cleanly for every clip type your iPhone records (including the latest HDR ones) and finish in roughly 10 seconds end-to-end. Scorecards with a video background save to Photos without the old black-frame opener. Tappable buttons everywhere fire on the first tap. Edit-workout duplicate-exercise bug squashed. Performance summary AI cache fixed. Bottom nav scroll-to-top, back-button reliability, and shared-link App Store routing all fixed.
Same app you love. Now it feels like the app you've always wanted it to feel like.
